The marketing fantasy: happy kids bouncing safely around an awesome castle. The miserable reality: bloody, fractured victims lying dead in their driveways.
i never had one of my own, but i'd go to a friends house and play on it and i remember falling. i got good at it though later. it was good exercise. i think i might go and buy one now actually.
I loved my Pogo Bal! It was a yellow disk with bright orange ball. It was in my parents basement until a few years ago when they moved and they threw it in the trash :(
A girl in our neighbourhood had one of these, when we were kids. She let me try it out one time, and I ended up falling and landed smack on my face, on the concrete. Scraped the left side of my face, all to shit. Goddamn, my mom was pissed. It's no wonder my parents never let me have one of these....lol
I got one when I turned 5. Well, I begged for it when we went birthday shopping. It had a black platform(The round one, not angled off.) and dark pink ball. Of course I was too small for it. But I would stand on it while against an arm chair and try to bounce. They still make them. They are usually with the ball and summer outdoor toys at Walmart. Not sure who makes them now, though.
@tisssssh So did I, up until my brother decided to perform a crazy stunt with it. He jumped off the back deck with it, went down one story, *BWAMF!* was launched into the air, shouting, "Whoa, shiiiiiiiit!!" *CRASH!!! Right into a metal table he went. My brothert survived, but both my Pogo Bal and the metal table were casualties of his brainfart moment.
I remember seeing kids playing on these, they bloody looked dangerous cause they were falling on the ground and scraped up kneese hurt arms, and so on. great vid.
@yogertlvr You think that's bad? My big brother decided one day that he was going to jump off the deck at my house on my Pogo Bal. He hit the concrete floor below, *BWAMF* was thrown back, shouting, "WHOA, SHIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!" And, *WHAM* he landed back first on a metal table. Fortunately, only the Pogo Bal and the table were destroyed.
omg I had one of these and a flat one with a handle on it.

That thing was impossible to bounce on. Your could never get balanced first of all.

I had one of these. I wanted a pretty one but all they had at the store were black and silver, but I couldn't wait so I had to settle for that color.

@HeyKim0012
haha i would have gladly traded mine for yours. i had the black and green one. i wanted the black and silver one so very badly.

You had a better chance of multiple sprained ankles than successfully bouncing on one of these things. I tried it exactly once and that was that.

Never fell on mine either.. but we always bounced on them in barefeet cause it's a better grip, so we'd get blisters all the time.
MB11113 2 years ago 2
shit, I never got hurt on mine. The ring used to keep popping off the ball though, so I guess it wasn't exactly safe.
