Pajero is better for the road than Patrol and remains a very good franchisor, Patrol is less with l' ease on the road with a behavior of truck.

summary for the video Pajero remains better on the road and consumes less and its engine is more reactive, but there remains expensive and the options too Patrol less expensive and is equipped better, but with a better footing for crossing.

Newmantbi I have driven a Patrol with diff locks in Kenya a lot and here in my countrie I have a friend that have a Pajero Full 2009 model (too big). The Pajero with no mods in my mind is not good for tough off road, is too heavy. Have a look at one of my videos where I´m pulling a Pajero from mud hehehe, stay well!

Pajero have suspension on arms, big mistake, you will have to change sometimes arms. too much cables, My friend has pajero, ABS in terrain stop work, in effect engine doesn't start. Pajero hasn't indestructible suspension, Patrol yes. (not this past 2010 yr) New patrol is like big sh!t. Regards for true 4x4 riders. aha, Reviva2003 4x4 cars isn't for drag!! For terrain! Torque is in sport cars!! Pajero hasn't a frame

if any of you are mechanics and have time to get a pajero on a ramp to ave a look underneath you will see its not a proper offroader they have very little travel in the front wishbones with thick antirollbars front and back and the bumbstops sit about two inches away giving little articulation and the rear springs and shocks are very short but they are reliable and if your not an extreme offroader they make good workhorses

In Australia we class the Patrol as a truck because it is a true 4wd with solid diffs front and rear,coil springs, built on a seperate frame and they are Strong, The Pajero which for a start is spanish for WANKER is classed as a shopping cart for the mums out there, engines only last 250000kms before needing heads recoed and they are no good for towing due to the IRS. They are to soft for the aussie outback but the Patrol IS up for the job.

Patrol's off-road capability is way better than Pajero's - this is obvious to everyone I believe.

Pajero is for moms who just go shopping and do not need a very strong car which would be able of dealing with hardcore conditions.

@VTolDL1000  Also I hate to break it to you but body on frame is not as rigid as a unibody, it's cheap and simple to build body on frame that's why it's taken so long for trucks to move to unibody design. By replacing the body and ladder frame with a monocoque body with integral frame, Mitsubishi has been able to increase body bending and torsional strength three-fold. road performance.

Well since I beat the piss out of my 02 Pajero off road quite a bit including technical bits that stress the unibody I can tell you that the door opening thing is complete rubbish. Your the one who said the Volvo's door pop open @:30 in the video because of unibody stress, but you can clearly see a persons hand open the door from the inside. Also they show you how they can open and close the doors while the car is loaded at only 2 corners, that shows some serious rigidity.

Nissan Patrol is 4th best SUV in 2005 by the 4x4 mgazine in U.S. Pajero as much as good,was way lower....to me Pajero is better off-road than Patrol,but nissan is far more luxurious,and powerfull...hard to decide..

All Wrong im afraid, Patrols Have to be the most basic 4x4 around. especially the 4.2diesels, -Nothing is better offroad as soon as you modify them, and standard. . . im pretty sure 3.0l patrols have the least power of anything with 4 wheels.

Easy to decide. . . if you drive on a road buy whatever looks good, but if ability and reliability offroad matters to you, buy a patrol.

My father owns a pajero, but I honestly HATE it coz there's just too much plastic in the car, both in the interior and exterior. And it just has a bad feel about how it's put together.. It rattles n al, but my father hardly ever takes it off road. I honestly wouldn't buy either one of the two.

And that's really good though cuz i always respect anyone's opinion cuz in AMERICA where i live pajeros are called monteros over here and they are starting at like $32,000-40,000. Cuz i have an 03' montero limited in red. But also over here in America they don't manufacture nissan patrols. I bet most of the people in the U.S. have never even heard of patrols. Monteros/Pajeros are sold world wide. They are more popular on other countries as well!!! (and that's just my opinion)
