Bought this on vinyl when it first came, loved the whole album & this song, although it sounds a little sappy, has a greater meaning to me as I get older & fully appreciate its message !!
One of the first songs I learned to play on guitar thanks to my roomie from college. Thanks Big Bird, wherever you are in The Last Frontier.... you're a wild child.
Whatever happened to my copy of Spring Fever? This old boy loves new technology when it means I can listen once again to these great songs from my youth. Many thanks for this posting.
Of course it was the "Guitars n Women" version-lots of great songs on that... Actually lots of great songs on ALL his 8 tracks,LPs,tapes and CDs. 2 bad only one known is R&RHK . I never tire of any version of 'Hang On Sloopy'. But my all time favorite is (n always will be) 'Jump(jump, jump)' off the 80s "Face To Face" album ;) The raw emotion of that cut has saved me more than once-I keep a tape with it on 2 or 3x so no rewinding ;) LOL 1 tape has 'Big City Loneliness' 2:37 then into J,J,J
awesome!!!!

It's basically Rick with Utopia

@SconeMason I think that was the second release of this (off the guitars and women album). Todd's production vastly improved the song :-)

@trinzeon also Kas, Willie, and Roger were the backing band.
