Cool video and excellent song, I wish I got to see Tim Horton play but alas I wasn't born then, but I grew up knewing who he was and what a talent he was, gone but never not forgotten, shame a lot of Canadian's just think Tim Horton's was a guy that opened a chain of donut stores, it takes me a Brit to educate them that he was one of the leagues best defencemen and one of the best Leafs to ever lace up the skates!
my dad was a very good friend of tim... i knew him very well... i know hes definatly in heaven either beating someone in hockey or watchin it with an ice cold beer in his hand... wish you were here tim...
I think the Ken Danby painting Tim Horton: The Legend & the Legacy should be hung in all Tim Horton's locations. This will show future generations who Tim was and what he did for his community and for hockey.
I want to thank everyone for their kind comments. I've put the audio portion of "The Ballad of Tim Horton" on Musicfreedom, where it can be downloaded. I hope to see you there.
Today marks exactly 40 years since the Leafs last won the Stanley Cup. I remember that game as if it were yesterday. You can still find it on the web. I was only 13 years old at the time. Leafs fans should watch this game just for the joy of seeing Keon, Horton, Mahovlich, Sawchuk and the Chief at their best. Go leafs go !!
this is so sad it makes me want to cry :(
