As a person who's seen the Musical the Drowsy Chaperone and been involved in a production of it, I can tell anyone that the dances to this song are a little bit more raunchy then they are supposed to be. Don't jump on me now. I'm not saying that she looks like a stripper or anything or that she's supposed to be dancing exactly like they do in the musical. But this is just a tad inappropriate for a 12 year old. This is just my opinion, so don't go trying to be defensive.

I've seen little 5 year old girls in bikinis at dance competitions. If I was a mother I would not let that happen. There's a limit for sure. My dance teacher is really good about knowing what's appropriate and what's not, so I'm grateful for that.
i think it was excellent...the fluffy in the costume was cute but the naked was a bit iffy...the moves were cute along with the song...i didnt think too sexy on the moves but along with the costume perhaps...all in all i think she is an excellent dancer and the dance was cute but try to cover up a bit more at 14.
Okay, I do understand that she's allowed to wear that kind of crap and do those kind of moves because she's too young to be sexy, but if you're gonna sing along with a song, you should lip sync it the whole time. Otherwise the character and the effect is lost, no matter how many pirouettes you can do.

This is so cute, some girls at my studio did this dance but it was a little different since they were older & could do more. She did good though for her age.

Those who are bashing this do not understand the Theatre. It involves costumes that fit the song and act to fit it. Especially with dance. Just look at Chicago or even a professional version of this song. She is not a stripper nor too skinny. She is a young dancer. Dancers need to have this body type with strong abdominal muscles. You need it to do spins such as 0:52 - 0:55 and 2:08 - 2:15. Let's see you idiots try and do that. You're so talented - you're going to go far. Keep it up :]
She is really good, I don't know why there are so many complaints. Competitions these years, everyone wears two pieces that show their stomach. It is not a big deal, and plus there are no moves that are seductive at all in that choreography and I thought it was cute. From a dancers perspective, the same age, it was really good and you shouldn't be criticizing her.
She's really good. Her legs are so long it's hard to control them when your so thin and flexible but she does pretty well with them!! She's definitely gonna have an advantage when she gets older if her legs stay that long!
I cannot believe this video is getting so much negative attention because of the moves and the costume! The costume isn't revealing (she's even wearing tights - imagine that!) and the moves went extremely well with the song. Kelsie is brilliant! Just ignore these rude people making immature comments. This dance is very age appropriate, and as is the song, and the costume is adorable! It's not like you can go on stage in a sweatshirt and jeans. The purpose of the costumes is that they make it easier to move. These people should keep their offensive comments to themselves. i just dont get the weird chest pops or whatever - doesnt fit with the song
but i totally get how people wouldnt get the cheese but thats the style....i guess you gotta be over the top in some of these competitions
shes got some definate potential though just needs to work on her strength and turn out and things like that but shes young yet

Those who are bashing this do not understand the Theatre. It involves costumes that fit the song and act to fit it. Especially with dance. Just look at Chicago or even a professional version of this song. She is not a stripper nor too skinny. She is a young dancer. Dancers need to have this body type with strong abdominal muscles. You need it to do spins such as 0:52 - 0:55 and 2:08 - 2:15. Let's see you idiots try and do that. You're so talented - you're going to go far. Keep it up :]

She is really good, I don't know why there are so many complaints. Competitions these years, everyone wears two pieces that show their stomach. It is not a big deal, and plus there are no moves that are seductive at all in that choreography and I thought it was cute. From a dancers perspective, the same age, it was really good and you shouldn't be criticizing her.

She's really good. Her legs are so long it's hard to control them when your so thin and flexible but she does pretty well with them!! She's definitely gonna have an advantage when she gets older if her legs stay that long!

I cannot believe this video is getting so much negative attention because of the moves and the costume! The costume isn't revealing (she's even wearing tights - imagine that!) and the moves went extremely well with the song. Now if you cannot say what you really think (which is, "Gosh, I wish I was her!"), then don't post anything at all!

I say just ignore what people are saying and just keep on dancing the way you are because i think that you are amazing and that it is unfair that you have to keep taking peoples harsh comments. Kelsie is brilliant! Just ignore these rude people making immature comments. This dance is very age appropriate, and as is the song, and the costume is adorable! It's not like you can go on stage in a sweatshirt and jeans. The purpose of the costumes is that they make it easier to move. These people should keep their offensive comments to themselves. I don't understand why people on Youtube come on here just to criticize people's dance videos. It's just plain disrespectful.
