  • fuck hatoyama!!!!!!!

  • Little yellow bastards. Where is my flamethrower?

  • i just hope japan will still by an ally of the us.

  • Lefts are gaining more and more power.

Something should be done or we will end up under in their iron curtain.

  • Certainly, the administration of the Democrat Party of Japan will be more offensive to the USA than the LDP's. However, we the Japanese think the policy will be right.

  • Japan would be wise to remember it's an Asian country and begin resowing its ties to the Orient while loosening, ever so slowly but surely, its second fiddle status to the suicide pact known as the USA. As we descend into full-blown corporatist socialism and authoritarianism, Japan wakes up. Good for them.

  • Sir Japan is moving far left which means that Free Market Reagan Conservatism is dead in Asia.

  • japan will still be a great country no matter what..

  • WOW! I didn't see this one coming. Never really heard wispers that it was a staunch possibility either.

Now, will this really mean substantive change in vital policies for JPN and internationally? Well, we'll see soon enough. Interesting times.

  • 300 out of 400 seats!?!

There is only one way to make up for this embaracing defeat.

    I offer you my sword

  • Awesome.

  • sodena

  • FYI: American liberal democrats are not the same as the Japanese liberal democrats. They have different platforms.

  • I thought Japan was coming out of a recession and the Yen keeps getting stronger than the dollar?

And they still have high unemployment rates and rapidly declining population? Is this being added correctly?

  • no way dude its 100yen to 1 US dollar LOL

  • Nope.

Look at the current exchange rate:

    1.00 USD = 93.23 JPY

If I want to buy a 5,000 Yen item, it's going to cost about $53.

I'm really paying more in U.S. dollars.

  • It's stronger than the failing dollar at least.

  • you mean it is falling at a slower rate than the dollar.

IIt is not a stronger currency

  • 5 months ago the 1USD equaled to 98.00 YEN

You saw the current conversion of currency. At this rate the Yen will reach the 80.00 range to the dollar.

Not a strong currency on a global scale, but it hurts business badly if Americans want to import from Japan. I know it hurts me financially, and it's going to get worse.

  • Serves them right.

  • Bravo!

  • WTF? this ain't "japan presdent makes very gud sushi"

  • keep your racism to your self.

  • SaGe MaN!
