Oh my grandpa has a cat who acts just like that except to my brother instead. We call him ninja cat instead of tiger because he comes out of nowhere just to attack: literally punch(detaloned), or to bite. It's just cause he has pure hatred. Loves me though when he doesn't confuse me for my brother. Don't worry about your sis's cat, it's mainly territorial issue...

@Bando2181 Why? cats are solitary, just like tigers. That's their nature. You have to understand them to love them. You cannot ask a cat to kiss you every time you approach him. Most of the time, they don't initiate any aggressive attacks unless they feel cornered or teased (when they are not in the mood to play).

I adore cats. They are the most loving and the warmest when you really KNOW how to deal with them.

I have four cats, and one of them is psycho. She hates everyone except me and only one of the other cats. Nobody else can go near her. I think the reason is bc she was abused. I got her when I was in a vet's office, and some people brought her in bc they saw her get tossed out of a car window in a parking lot. I hate to think how she was treated before that...anyway, I've had her from a kitten, and have never hit or abused her, but she is 7 yrs. now, and she will never change.

Maybe because you've been around other cats, he could smell them on you or something. My cousin's cat, Gypsy can't stand another cat in her presence. She gets SO jealous, and one time she went after me because she could smell that I was around another cat. Well... that just my theory. i think this poor cat is declawed, having no claws makes a cat more prone to aggression due to them being insecure.

cats don't usually react with such aggression unless something was done to them first.

maybe he was scared of you the first time he saw you and did a little hiss so since then you like to corner him and torment him. notice how he is under the table obviously trying to avoid you, putting your camera and staring at him frightens hims and he reacts like you are another male cat in his territory, my advice is to just stay away from him, he won't seek you out if you don't .

@uching The only time I ever "tormented" him was shooting this video. I decided to give him a taste of his own medicine for once. I have owned cats my whole life and I know how to properly treat them. I only see this cat about twice a year now. I guarantee next time I see him, he will come up to me, let me me pet him for about 3 seconds, then he will suddenly turn on me, try to bite my hand, then hiss, then turn and run away and hide from me.

I walk in the house and I can go up to the cat and pet him for about 5 seconds, then all of the sudden he will turn and hiss at me and attack me. It's kind of funny but definitely weird. This cat has hated me since day one. And I love cats. I have never understood it. First day I met the cat, I leaned over to pet it and it hissed and swiped at me. So when I shot this video, he acted no different to me on this day with the camera, then on any other day. Still today, several years later, I go to my sisters house, the cat sees me and growls and hisses.

maybe his not used to people outside his home or not used to men, or you scared him in some way where he don't treat you. to a cat people look big and can be a scary thing. why not try to put treats near you and your back facing away from him. once he start eating near you try to offer him food in your hand but don't look at him. best place to do this is in a room where he can't hide from you.

My sisters husband gets along with him just fine. The first time I ever saw the cat, he looked at me and hissed and for about a year he hissed the minute I entered the house and looked at him. Several years have went by since I shot this video and now when I first enter my sisters house, I can pet the cat for about 30 seconds and he loves it, then all the sudden he will turn on me and hiss and try to bite me. This cat has serious issues.
