@redakdal Because he's travelling through time and the object is to stop him and get back the delorean before he "destroys the entire universe" of course. This minigame is based on a theme park ride - not based directly on the movies.

@lukeskywalker7878 Actually the closest you can get to the ride is getting the new "Back to the Future" DVD that was re-released recently. The 1st movie has a bonus feature where it shows the video of the ride, it's pretty cool. Or you can wait until October for the Back to the Future 25th Anniversary Blu-Ray set, the extra will probably be on there as well.

@powerbook86 Yeah i have the new released of back to the future and I'm planning on getting the Blu-ray set when it comes out but it just doesn't fill the void of actually sitting in the 4 seater DeLorean and being on the ride in person.

This is not a Back to the Future game based on the movie series - it's a Universal Studios themepark game and you go and get on the "Back to the Future: The Ride" - which is loosely based on the ride that was at the theme park.
