@luap123311 you know nothing! Antartica has been getting THICKER over the last 30 years! Only the glaciers in the SOUTH of Greenland have melted, while the Northern ones have ALL gotten thicker, as well as the ice in north Ice caps! And even when an H-bomb goes off, it only effects the temperature within an area of 30 miles and only lasts for 2-5 days. (and the average temp. only increases by a fraction of a fraction)

We are in an ice age, i.e, there is ice covering both poles. A lot of the time on Earth has been in ice age, and a lot of time in a warm period. Earth has its own patterns that can't be changed by humans. Ever. One volcano will release thousands more tonnes of C02 than we can, and even the SEA releases huge amounts of C02.

We are not in an ice age; having ice at both poles does not constitute an ice age. Earth has its own patterns which are wildly affected by human output and the patterns can and are being changed by humans. Daily. One volcano may release thousands of tonnes of CO2 in one concentrated burst, but humans are doing that EVERY DAY THE WORLD OVER, and have been for decades.

Sure, we slightly add to its problems, but the planet is a huge object, and our effect on the environment on a large scale is insignificant. The Earth naturally heats and cools. The cavemen werent responsible for the ice age and we wont be responsible for it heating up again. And the way technology is going, especially nanotechnology, we will have mastered our resources long before we can destroy it.

@twist4010 The world is barely off its normal temperature due to us. It should be getting warmer becasue we're in a warming era. Seeing as the last Ice Age was 10k - 12k years ago, and our warming cooling cycle is 40k - 70k (yes it's a big range but I couldn't remember it completley), so we sould be getting warmer. Also, we were kind of overdue for a heat wave for this year of 2011, becasue we never had a big heat wave for a while. Also, this year wasn't the hotest. Few decades ago it was hoter

the glaciers are water packed on to each other so if they melt they will fall to sea level and increase it but i think this wont happen for another 70 or so years but ther really is no way to stop it its just another way god is reducing population
