  • lol, I there's a bird that looks just like that and keeps attacking my cat, I have a video and about to upload it by next week!

  • I love mockingbirds.

  • That's a great relationship they have.

  • That's one stoic cat.

  • my cat refused to go outside because of the exact scenario depicted in this video

  • cool video

  • If this would be my cat, the bird would dive-bombed it only once..

  • Way to "Mock" that cat.

  • I seen this a couple of times, interesting eh

  • Beethoven's 9th. Excellent choice.

  • I just love mockingbirds because of their temperament with cats

  • lol theres my cat

  • its because the cat ate his girlfriend...

  • lol what a funny bird

  • LOL the cats like CBF

  • This is very common.. it usually means the cat is nearby to the bird's nest where it's chicks are. The parents will swoop down on any animal nearby which may be a threat... animal behaviour lesson over.. :)

  • You've never been truly ignored until you've been ignored by a cat! The mockingbird looked a little miffed by not getting a reaction out of the cat.

    Great video. Five stars.

  • my next door neighbours dog gets attacked all the time by birds it drives it mad.

  • lol, i wasnt sure what kind of bird it was but i got one that dive bombs my cat and all day long, you can actually hear the bird smack into him. this cat kills mice and birds but lets this bird torment him all he wants, i think the cat actually likes it! now i got to take a video.

  • lol, there is always a bird waiting for my cat to come outside!

  • The cat is not even reacting. wtf? My cat would've ate it.

  • neither animal is crazy. They are both doing what the do naturally. At learn a little first before posting this video.

  • We had a mockingbird on my property last year dive bombing cats and squirrels. It was a show every day. Very cute video, and good choice of music.

  • the cat is like 'what the heck.'

  • The mockingbird has a nest and will attack anyone near it. Funny thing is that for me, the parents only watch me when there's a nest, but no babies. When they hatched, that's when they attacked. Watch my video of the mockingbird nest.

  • Ceili is a weirdo, that's for sure. Did you know this is the first video that comes up when you search for "Bird attacks cat?" Pretty sweet!

  • that bird attacks me and my dog

  • that cat got punked

  • I've been attacked by a mockingbird too.

  • That happens to almost every cat I know. The bird might have had a nest in the trees.

  • I know that bird...!! Fool keep on atacking me while I was installing my satellite dish. Bastard!!

  • Sweet comment!

  • omg tat happens to my cat to lol

she just sits there while the bird keeps bothering her lol

  • Mocking birds only attack when they are nesting.Cats kill baby mocking birds.Mocking birds know this so they mob the cat.The male mockingbird knows what hes doing, hes in no danger himself.

  • Actually, that does not look like a mocking bird. It looks more like a shrike, an aggressive bird related to mocking birds. Shrikes are known to impale their prey on small, sharp objects like thorns and barbed wire fences while still alive! A small, aggressive bird that would not hesitate to attack a cat to be sure.

  • lo lmao

  • pretty birdies ^,^

  • Hi, can anyone tell me what this music is please? ; )

  • Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 (Scherzo)

  • lol i love mocking birds

  • I've just seen this happen to my cat. My cat got frustrated and run away. The birds followed him into our house.

  • That cat was like "I are ignoring teh bird"

Yah Mockingbirds are really protective, it must have felt that the cat was somehow imposing a threat on its nest or sumthing

  • haha looooool

  • Wow I am suprised that the cat did not jump at it or anything. Interesting

  • thats a great video.

  • those bireds are evil ! they attacked me once

  • comprehensive cat. a real gentlecat. lol !

  • Yeah, that cat turned another cheek and didn't retaliate. Kudos.

  • Don't make fun of the mockingbird please :P

  • mockinbirds do this when they have young in a nest , they are dangerous can peck a cat in the wrong place on its head or face and hurt it badly.

  • Initially, I was very worried for my cat, but she was obsessive about going out and would scratch at the door non stop until I let her go. Not only did the bird attack her for hours on end.. but the bird made that screeching sound you can hear right at the end of the video constantly. It didn't make for a very peaceful neighborhood.

Fortunately for my cat, she never was hurt.. but I do think the bird met his/her maker since we haven't seen it back for at least 2 years now.

  • lool! this same exact thing happened to my cat but with a crow. my cat had the same reaction as yours for about three months just kinda chilling and letting it happen but then i found my kittie munching on the poor bird outside :-(. i felt bad, poor crow's respectfully buried now.

  • that birdie was kinda mean. the cat didn't do anything.

  • ITS ON THE GRILL!!

  • Adds more emphasis on: "To kill a Mockingbird"

  • the bird has the last word! lol

  • if you can't tell the bird was not attacking the cat>>>it just wanted some of its hair for nesting

  • Cats doing its best to pretend its not bothered.

  • Mockingbirds have very interesting behavior.

  • They can attack anything or anybody. I once got attacked by one of them, but I quickly raised my arms to scare it away. :-)

  • Wow what an asshole of a bird, sheesh.

  • youtube green hack :[

  • haha that bird is fucking asking for it. LMAO. other than that, that is a board cat. love the music haha

  • That cat must have gotten into the medicine cabinet?...because he wasn't even annoyed let alone showing his natural instict to hunt the bird down then bring it into the kitchen and have my mother scream as if a she was being mugged by a bigfoot!!! I have a little experience with cats and birds...haha

  • damn we cant fuck with mocking birds in TX

    its our state bird

    :[

  • That cat's a pussy. boom boom.

  • .... pssscsh.

  • I gotta say, nice lol.

  • que pajaro tan loco... que aguerrido que lastima que se murio tan pronto

  • great video, do you think the mocker may of had a nest close by and she was protecting her young?

  • I don't think the bird IS that fast, I think it was fast-motion video. Mockingbirds can be very aggressive, I learned that first-hand. But that cat really didn't care, haha.

  • the music...oooooh, the music...

  • Doesn't seem to bother Kitty much...lol Animals can be so funny to watch...Love the vid gave it a 5 !!!

  • well this proves that ignoring someone annoying doesn't help at all. they keep on doing it!

he lived, then learnt. I looked after a baby blackbird, then its parents found it again : )

  • LOL! Yep.... growing up.. you are told to "just ignore them"... ha

  • Really strange...the bird is not afraid of the cat at all. I'm sorry the bird didn't come back. I had 2 mocking birds falling in my furnace(I can't figure out how)and the first one was an adult and survived but the second one was a baby and I rushed her to the vet but died there...My cats went crazy when I was taking care of the bird, like "Let us see, let us see the birdy!!" Of course, I did not let them get close.

  • Years ago I had a cat that continually got attacked by mockingbirds and she would just lay there and take it like it was a normal part of life. Then one day she was in the front yard and a bird had been swooping and pecking her for hours as she sun bathed not paying any attention to itwhen all of a sudden she jumped up and caught the bird. She wrestled it a bit but the bird got free and seemed to be no worse for it but it never swooped her again hehe.

  • I wish Ceili had done that at least once.. than the poor bird might still be alive today.

  • The sad thing regarding this video is that Ceili's mockingbird pal did not return this spring. I am afraid that one of my other cats, Maggie, probably killed the "mocker" late last summer. I think the bird thought that all cats were as "nice" as Ceili and ventured a little too close to Maggie who is a good hunter. This year Maggie has a collar with a jingle bell to at least give the birds a chance to get away before she gets them. But poor mocker and poor Ceili who lost her best bird friend....

  • cats like..."dude..can i just chill?"

  • lol if my cat(killercat) were their she would kill that bird in a second,my cat loves to kill lizards, bugs, birds, rats, rabbits and me

  • You can bet the farm this mocker has a family nearby, because that's why they get so aggressive and territorial in the springtime. I love mockers and cats, so this video is really cute!

  • the cat didnt realize the bird was there..otherwise a good lunch

  • aww, theyre both soo adorable ^^

  • Exactly! Glad you enjoyed it! Thiscat actually LIKES the attacks by the bird, she begs to go out even when the bird is relentlessly attacking her. The cat is an odd duck anyway. She is a rescue, and has always been a little weird. She doesn't like my other cats and scream if any of them get near her (I have 4 in all).. but she seems to love this bird.. weird!

I am working on compiling more footage of the cat and bird from last year... hopefully of a better quality. Look for it.

  • LOL the cat is just like "yeah whatevah"
