  • Dude way to go freestyle on that shit!

  • haha pretty sweet bud.....looks like you do this for a living!

  • Cool.

Have you ever wrapped the wood with bungees or placed em inside an old tire? Seems like that can save some time.

  • Douglas fir splits like nothing.. mr flippy

  • depends on the type of wood, on how easy it will split, if the wood is full of knots then its hard to split

  • faster than a gas one

  • hows it splittin so easy

  • Looks like it was a bit chilly out... ;)

  • Do you find resin buildup to be a problem in your stack? I'm on the east coast and burn only hardwood - will be moving to Pacific NW soon and don't know how its gonna be burning mostly pine/fir/etc

    Thanks

  • @xexorz

I have not had any noticeable issues with buildup, but last winter was the first year I was using the wood stove so I don't have much of a long-term test. My current woodpile is all big leaf maple however, which ought to be nice.

  • errrr... have you got a girlfriend 8=3.... it's a joke before you get too serious.

  • Awesome!

  • What kind of wood is that?

  • As stated already, douglas fir.

  • looks like your spliting pine wood

  • Very stylish, old guys can do it quite well too

  • I wish my logs were perfect circles :D

  • I got a hold of some halfway dry hickory the other day maybe just a tad bit longer than that. Now that was a job, the mess was so hard and stringy it made for a hard job, but in the end it burned well!

    Nice Vid!

  • Actually it is douglas fir.

  • that wood is very easy to split.
