Even a street beggar earns more than $2 a day in Metro Manila. Philippines is a middle income country and the 31st biggest economy in the world. It has been a newly industrialized country since 2008. Manila is rapidly developing and construction of skyscrapers are everywhere due to increasing middle class' demand for condos and apartment units. New and improved infrastructures like super highways, MRTs, trains, museums, malls are also on the rise. Progress is all over the place.

Jay Leno mentioned it in his show that the Philippines beats India in outsourcing, the call center people are nicer, light disposition in their voice compared to the serious grouchy sound of the people in India.

@iyot34 u kidding mr. fuck? companies are going to the philippines to outsource some of their business operations due to philippines advantages to countries like india, ireland, brazil, romania, etc.
