great video. I've happened to encounter 2 wounded adult red tails. had 1 for about a week before tx parks and wildlife came out and picked it up. I would capture smaller birds alive and feed them to it. Amazing creatures.

the parents are back building another nest in the same palm tree!!!expecting a hatch in April. the young hawk still travels with his parents.

Awesome catch!!! It's a good thing that "momma" didn't divebomb you for recording her chick! :) How did you get that shot? Did that chick fall out of a nest?

had been watching the nest for about a month. big storm destroyed the nest and baby ended up on the ground. momma and daddy were watching me. kinda scary. we put the baby up in the tree and the parents continued his care until he fledged. i had the same experience with 2 great horned owl babies.

@winkycoon you should get a falconry license and catch one :D im sure they are good at hunting cuz i have an immature red tailed hawk at the moment
