Ubuntu 10.04 is king and really easy to run my whole family runs Ubuntu. BTW Evolution is the best e-mail program and it comes free with Ubuntu. You guys should not take what he says to heart because this stuff is out of date what he is saying.

This Guy is great & loved his video's & Mepis Linux to me is one of the best linux distro's out there(Yeh I know Ubuntu everyone says)Yeh what ever! Mepis Linux, Puppy Linux, Dream Linux & PCLinuxOS 2007 (KDE Version( & Or ) PCLinuxOS 2008 (Gnome Version) & I can't forget Feevo Linux for (Media Center) Action(haha) For Life.

My favorite Linux distro is Mepis, too! Because it is the easiest to install and use out of any distro i've used! I run Mepis 6.0 on my 1999 Compaq.

Buried as lame. Office productivity and photo editing should only be done on Windows. OpenOffice does not count as "productive"

Why wouldn't OpenOffice be productive? It functions almost exactly like MS Office, and it can open and save files in the MS Office format! What more could you want in a FREE office suite?

Lets see, Pentium III 1.1 mhz,256 kb ram running Mepis 6.0 and Debian GNU/Linux(etch). My main pc took a dump a couple of years ago so I dusted this little thing off and here we are,I havent looked back since. I highly recomend Mepis as a user friendly Linux distro. It's easy,fun,and you will LEARN much more about computers in general running Linux.

Best of all it is free:)
