Well Vince has never been just a pocket passer and thats what made him GREAT in college. So much of VY's game was based on his ability to run with the football in college. Now that he's in the pros, he no longer has that advantage and must work to become a better passer instead of an "athletic QB." But during the offseason they got Alge Crumpler, who should do well. I will be honest and admit that the defense is not too shaby, but after they got VY, they turned around. Look for them to go 12-4 with ease & possibly 13-3. 14-2 is a stretch but look where they were before they acquired VY(Pro Bowler)

His biggest problem is that he is the only player on the field that the defense has to think about. White is a strong runner but he is too slow to be a big play threat, and the WR's are a joke. Even Payton Manning would struggle without Addai, Wayne, Clark, and Harrison for the defense to think about.

First off... the jaguars recievers aren't great but they at least catch the ball when it hits their hands.
Secondly, they have arguably the best backfield in the league. Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew, take tons of responsibilty and pressure off of their QB.

Don't get me wrong...he's not a great passer....probably never will be. So he'll never be one of the "Greats" of the NFL.
But he's one of the 15 best QBs in the league right now....light years better than Kerry Collins.
My point is, he needs an honest chance to prove that. My guess is, Jeff Fischer isn't going to give that to him.

When will teams learn not to waist their first round draft pick on a QB whose game doesn't translate to the NFL. I know running QBs are fun to watch but they are not very effective in the NFL. If you don't believe me then just look at the last time a running QB won a Super Bowl.

it's true running QB's dont win often but when you just had a franchise QB in Steve McNair who lost the Super Bowl by a yard, then you trust that QB in your system, Vince Young can be a complete QB he just needs to be "Pass-First"..but calling the Vince Young pick a "waste" is just ignorant

The Titans put him in there too quick. He can make the throws, and he's got the ability to be good. Not Peyton Manning, no shit, but I think he's learned a lot sitting on the bench this season.

VY sat out this whole last season to watch Kerry Collins. His playing in the Colts game at the end of the regular season was pitiful. I was hoping to see a little more improvement with that amount of time. i just hope he can get it together

seems to me he just dont learn from his mistakes. its pro football collage is over u cant fake the pass and run on just about every down. he needs to learn how to throw thw faking ball and not be double minded on wheter throw or run. leave the runing to running back ur job is to pass the ball mone the football and throw tds intead on ints. i would give him this season and watch him closly and see if he does any better as the season progresses if not i would send his ass back to texas.

There is a big difference between college and pro football. VY will never be more than a lower level QB. If the Titans hadn't made such a huge investment in VY, they would cut him today. I don't know why VY is threatening to kill himself. If I was head coach for the Titans, I would be wanting to kill myself, knowing I could have had Jay Cutler, but was forced to take VY.

Why the fuck would they let him throw deep? Who do they have on the team that could even burn a CB deep and catch the ball? A simple safety up top can prevent the Titan recievers from catching anything over 30 yards.....thats just how crappy they are.

Vince can't throw. I saw him play at the Jaguars game in Nashville last year. He was awful. He's had an awful preseason. Titans will go 7-9 this year. The only reason they made it to the playoffs last year was because of the D-line and a running game. They won IN SPITE of Vince not BECAUSE of Vince. All you Vince fans what QB have you been watching? He's not very smart, cant throw, and his athletic ability gets him nowhere in the NFL when defenses can run as fast as he can. Colts to win it all!

Without VY, they would be horrible. Thats why they had the 3rd pick. Anyway their best receiver has to be Justin Gage, hes ranked 50th in the league + Their other receivers dont know how to play. But during the offseason they got Alge Crumpler, who should do well. I will be honest and admit that the defense is not too shaby, but after they got VY, they turned around. Look for them to go 12-4 with ease & possibly 13-3. 14-2 is a stretch but look where they were before they acquired VY(Pro Bowler)

His biggest problem is that he is the only player on the field that the defense has to think about. White is a strong runner but he is too slow to be a big play threat, and the WR's are a joke. Even Payton Manning would struggle without Addai, Wayne, Clark, and Harrison for the defense to think about.

First off... the jaguars recievers aren't great but they at least catch the ball when it hits their hands.
Secondly, they have arguably the best backfield in the league. Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew, take tons of responsibilty and pressure off of their QB.
