so what your saying is the only place who would give me my first job, 3 promotions, 5 raises all within the last year, a corporation that has each store give thousands of dollars to community charities, gives hundreds of jobs to out of work workers in each community, and a store that created a program to recruit people that work at walmart to volunteer in community soup kitchens and donates hundreds of meals sucks. ok you know what your talking about.

Wal-Mart policy states that no employee ( Not including Management) Has his/her eval once every year. You may get a $.40 raise after your first 90 days. Most employees get a $.40 raise a year, if your lucky. Can not get promoted to dept, Csm, and up with in your first year of employment. 5 promotions? Liar. I started at $8.50 an hour, after 4 years I left at $10.50.
Wal-Mart under staffs, under pays, and the health insurance ( If you can get it or afford it) is a complete joke. And only full timers can get health insurance, and they were a hand full of full timers where I worked, 95% of employees were part timers. And even so,80% of employees were on some kind of State aid either it be health care, section 8, food stamps, etc. Help the community? They force the tax payers to support their employees. T
Walmart is not all glitter and gold as they want the public to think they are..They like to fire good help for saying things they did not say...That is why they have such long lines at the registers...they treat them like shit....ask me how I know this...i was one

Because there is a middle class stupid! When companies like Walmart start watering it down, look what happens... descent paying jobs that fuel the economy evaporate, and it'll just be the US slipping into mediocrity and expanding our debt to China, they are horrible for our economy now matter how you look at it.
Here's a tip, Betty: How about you graduate high school and/or get a COLLEGE EDUCATION (or some similar post-hs education), so you'll be able to get a HIGHER-PAYING job?? That'll kill 2 birds with one stone! You'll have more money AND afford health insurance, rather than mooch off your employer and expect him to pay your bills.
Besides, I'm sure employers paying for healthcare creates moral hazard and allows employees to take a lot of expensive but perhaps unnecessary procedures.
oh and i was in college while working at the walmart deli..they fired me because of my school schedule ...oh and the hundreds of food that was left over in the walmart deli was thrown away instead of being given to homeless shelters..

They act like they're "stuck" in their dead-end job, as if it was INEVITABLE that they work menial tasks for low pay. What a bunch of bums. Only about .33-2% of the workforce is minimum-wage.
Or people who complaint about not getting insurance from an employer, esp. if they work for a higher-income employer like an automaker. I mean, come on.
