What a great night that was at the Docks! Did Max Webster ever sound great! I cant forget the floor being doused with beer cans. After the show the staff used snow shovels to clear the beer cans from the floor...what a site!!
That singer doing Geddy's part is an excellent singer/songwriter/bass player/guitar player/etc.He is Peter Fredette and he did a great job ,ASSHOLE!! Peter has been in Kim's band for years.Take a couple ludes and go back to bed.
this is cool shit...I remember when the song 1st came out in 80 around the time of permanent waves album. Damn I'm getting old... wait ...who said exit stage left was in 1980...it was 1982.
...Max Webster toured with Rush a LOT from 76 to 81. I saw them do THIS song in Ft. Worth, back in 1980 (Rush, Exit Stage Left tour) It sounded AMAZING at the Tarrant County Conv. Ctr.
Dude! I was there too! Kim Mitchell is an amazing guitarist. I get chills from solo on "Blue River Liquor Shine". I saw them open for Rush several times. They were the perfect opening act.
If they were as good as y'all say with thousands of people seeing them every night before rush, why didn't they get anywhere in the states or anywhere else?
Great stuff
