I'm a mechanic and for reliability you can't beat Honda engines. But for pure tuneability all the later vauxhall ecotec engines are superb. Vauxhall factory restrict there engines to allow low insurance but they can easilly be tuned to the same even more than Honda engines due to hondas being highly tuned from standard. Also hahahahahahaha Chavhater you must have the same cunt-0-meter as me. It's a shame that little chavs ruin the reputation of a brilliant little car.
basic model? i thought like th gls n vagas were basic models? the sports got elec windows + mirros, spolier, pas etc thats not basic :S and di they even do a 1.8 in the corsa b? if i modded my car i wouldnt tell the insrunce that i have th emods if i crash then its tuff shit aint it shouldnt besuch a shit driver
Nice shopping trolley. What made you go for a base model? You are obviously into your performance looking at your exhaust so why not get the 1.8?
Don't start going on about the insurance because I'm sure declaring your exhaust has put your insurance up nearer to the 1.8? And of course you would have declared it as you wouldnt want to void your insurance would you?
You thick twat. If you have a crash and they see the exhaust when they repair or inspect it they will either void your insurance or make you pay up. It's just happened to my cousin with his Impreza.
By the way. Using text speak really doesn't help elevate my opinion of you. At the moment the dial is rigidly stuck to "Cunt"
sounds nyc m8......i anit red all coments but hondas do luk shit like much ratha av me corsa sport!:D dey good cars man fuck nos y ppl dis em ask any mechanic, good lil run arounds n take plenty hammering off kids lol
here an good idear dont buy cors 1.4 sport buy honda civic 1.3 dx much faster more fun nice grumble from engine its lower already fast engough with out mods u mod it u can beat saxo vts and primera and 106 rallye ugh
iv got a corsa 1.4 sport and iv got a K&N induction kit with a cold air feed r8 on the frunt bumper...ther isnt any flat spots and it sounds real nice ;)
ive tried a drilled airbox with panel filter, and tbh wasnt impressed, I had a cone filter, loads of flat spots, i now have a cone filter right by the side of the arch where the cold air is and it is furthest away from the engine, and it has more power in higher revs and feels alot more responsive than anything else ive tried yet, and all i need now is a heat shield, fuck pipercross vipers etc waste of money in my opinion, but each to there own!!!!
im a mechanic 4 ffs! stop pising about with a tiny engine and air flows! want to go fast get a fast car! an these fat exhuasts r shit! it jus messes up the hole flow 2 strt with
Well in all honesty it doesn't really matter on a small 1.2/1.4 it only really matters on more powerful cars :) so might as well get the sport induction roar trust me i tested it 1.2 i've had the cold air feed, i've not had the cold air feed, i used the airbox drilled etc.... same power outcome. However the 1.4 might make a difference as it creates alot more heat(but still won't increase that much in power.)
jesus u try to help ppl bluddy hel rite u drill the wing side of the air box wer u got draft / hence the cold air not hot air from the engine but fresh ventilated air n wich cone filter on a 16v u can get sum beasty flat spots so if u ent got the money for a decent inlets system buy a drill :)
it wont suck hot air in through holes on the wing side of the box right in the wheel arch though will it ;) as i've done to mine.. best option all round.
I've had both an induction kit with a cold air feed and the drilled airbox and the car drives much much better with the drilled airbox as its only drilled on the front and wing side of the box so it sucks in much less hot air than the induction kit did.
@onrdmr Pretty much nothing, different seats and a badge. 88bhp like the rest of them - seats might effect the weight a bit but I doubt it would make any difference

Insurance? mayb first car? not enough moneY?
YOUWANNASMACKDKHEAD 2 years ago
Yes, what I'm saying is declaring an exhaust to the insurance company will probably put the insurance for the 1.4 car near to or equal to the 1.8.
TheChavhater2009 2 years ago
u doesy cunt why would you declare ur exhaust and make ur insurance go up???????

what aload of crap, drilling your airbox sucks in hot air from engine bay and upsets the airflow = loss of power, an induction kit should be used with a cold air feed.
laurieh 4 years ago
why did you drill your airbox! what a waste of time, just buy an induction kit. then you can put the airbox back in if you decided...
mrgrimshaw 4 years ago
You drill the airbox because you get more power from it rather than an induction kit which just sucks in hot air from the engine bay . . . .
olsrey 4 years ago
it will just suck in hot air through the holes.. get an induction kit and put in a pipe that goes to the front to feed in cold air.
