Possibly! I have red endive/chicory and leek ready to go but I got distracted yesterday - I will try and film them before they go off - though slightly wilted vegetables seem to be a bit of a theme in some of the videos!
@Eliseharris Is very nice. Haunting mental images throughout. Some of the poems will take slow absorption and many looks to settle on a reader's interpretation, as is the case with free-verse. A poetry workshop setting would be a nice video to hear your and others' ideas on them.
Angel is too young to read this I fear... especially "Babies" and "Bog Bodies." Too scary and honestly forlorn for the tender young Ms mind.
There's a video of your "wooing" of the Byronic chap in a cafe wait line.
Thanks - I think I avoided most of the small, bitty ones because they weren't as visually interesting - but if I do more I have to make sure I do something to make them exciting!
If you did a video in a bathtub full of peas, that would be visually interesting.
If you could find some small greenish round things to give the illusion of peas it might not cost so much.
I think the vegetable lady could use some expansion of her personality, not always so deadly serious and gloomy. Like sitting in a bathtub full of peas, still eccentric and obsessive, but with a new element of fun.
hey Elise?...could you consider making a videe where your either tied or hang cuffed to that wonderful bed of yours?. (those metal rails are just perfect for that little fantasy love...)
Well it's not much of a Prop worthy veggie. Yes I remember you putting frozen cubes of it in a chick pea surprise stir-fry or something. Frozen, fresh for salad, and canned. And canned taste nothing like fresh or unprocessed frozen cubes. I ate it like crazy because of Popeye when I was young. The steroid of its day.
Cats are half ghost, half secret-agent-ninja-commandos.
My gran would lock all her doors and windows before going to bed and would still wake up the next morning to find the neighbours' cat asleep at the bottom of the bed.
You're sitting in a bed talking about making a video with vegetables? So let me guess - no date for Valentine's?
By the way, lima beans are very big on the Delaware shore. For some reason, locally grown lima bean soup is quite a delicasy among the beachgoing tourists in the summer.
Use your wigs to get back into your rhythm. Collards & Grits ? Its St. Valintine's Day tomorrow, so when you hear a tango in the air, a hand carressing your back, and a kiss upon your palm ....
Hey Elise, haven't been keeping up with your videos recently, but with the mention of vegetables I definitely needed to start watching again!!! Have you done the brussels sprout yet?
I haven't really done any leafy vegetable - not sure why (spinach, lettuce and cabbage are also missing!) I am not sure why I have avoided all but pak choi!
@Eliseharris I blame my husband he lied.. he said it wasn't a zucchini.. then again there are loads of things like black currant.. I never knew was grape.. he likes to have fun at my expense. He is English GRR. It isn't fun to make fun of the American. :P
Blackcurrant is a different fruit to grape. A blackcurrant is small and looks a bit like a blueberry - though it has a very distinctive flavour and grows on bushes.
i was going to say the difference between knowledge and wisdom. knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit and wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salid LOL
paleface!? racist much! ;) If anyone picks on that little girl set the rottie on them (that'll be Richard)
Had you idea you did a book - might get one next pat day I think. Vegetables: I'd choose Red Bliss Potatoes because I'm a MUSE fan... but sadly I don't think you can get then in England :o
I made a blog entry on the vegetable blog but haven't made the video to go with it! Vegetable is more a culinary term than anything so any non-animal , once-living organic matter can probably count. Maybe not bacteria but possibly mould!
Still lusting about Richard ? Got mine from Amazon. Still Jealous (Me that is) Have you run Black Eye Peas?

@Roddyoneeye I don't think I ever was, really! It's all a rumour (created by me in this video, granted!)

Make sure your use fur cuffs on the bars so you don't scratch the coating. I hate when that happens. :( ;) Just saying....
Are you Welsh?

I am Welsh, yes! Fur-handcuffs probably wise if I ever do something like that!

BGenerous 2 years ago
Ah, yes I don't think I have done leeks either.

I've always found leeks a little creepy.
They look like giant mutant green onions. :)

Courgette isn't obscure (see also zucchini)! You are right I haven't down most of those, mind. Trouble is I would also have to find them somewhere.
Eliseharris 2 years ago
What about eggplant? Or is that called something else on your side of the world?
(Sorry, I was too young when I left England. I can only remember carrots and cabbages.)
RupertsCrystals 2 years ago
Done! It is aubergine over here.
Eliseharris 2 years ago
Aha. Aubergine. Now I remember. :-)
RupertsCrystals 2 years ago
Do you count mushrooms as vegetables? Strictly speaking they are not, but you could stretch the truth a bit.

"so any non-animal , once-living organic matter can probably count."
So you've done an episode on apples and oranges? :P
TheReasonWhyGuy 2 years ago
I should probably add "savoury"! Maybe I should move to fruits and herbs though.
Eliseharris 2 years ago
@Eliseharris lol... yeah, but I like the simple title of vegetable, and I think that herbs also count :P
Yeah, it would be a waste of money to buy a vegetable and not eat it... not to mention a waste of food :P

Must check it out.
