  • Still lusting about Richard ? Got mine from Amazon. Still Jealous (Me that is) Have you run Black Eye Peas?

  • @Roddyoneeye I don't think I ever was, really! It's all a rumour (created by me in this video, granted!)

  • @Eliseharris Good ! When I'm not visualizing you in a Belly Dancer's outfit (Jade, Emerald, or Lapis) then it's as Lady Godiva ! I'm not wicked !

  • Possibly! I have red endive/chicory and leek ready to go but I got distracted yesterday - I will try and film them before they go off - though slightly wilted vegetables seem to be a bit of a theme in some of the videos!

  • Kale

  • Well, it's curly!

  • strawberry

  • paleface can be your Lakota Indian name.

  • My "Little Circus" book came on the 16th.

  • Good - glad it came.

  • @Eliseharris Is very nice. Haunting mental images throughout. Some of the poems will take slow absorption and many looks to settle on a reader's interpretation, as is the case with free-verse. A poetry workshop setting would be a nice video to hear your and others' ideas on them.

Angel is too young to read this I fear... especially "Babies" and "Bog Bodies." Too scary and honestly forlorn for the tender young Ms mind.

There's a video of your "wooing" of the Byronic chap in a cafe wait line.

  • Why don't you take a leek? I'm sorry, is that too much in-u-endo?

  • Happy Valentine's day my lady.

  • If It WAS Richard's bed, I would be thrilled.

Because you both make me giggle.

  • Make sure your use fur cuffs on the bars so you don't scratch the coating. I hate when that happens. :( ;) Just saying....

    Are you Welsh?

    @UnckyJeff

  • I am Welsh, yes! Fur-handcuffs probably wise if I ever do something like that!

  • Let's see....A ghost cat...an Alien Face Hugger (no doubt simian) and vegetable connatations...great to see another Elise Harris production!

  • I alway love your Vlogs. Thanks from the U.S.A.

  • Thank you from the UK!

  • A few vegetables you haven't done yet Bamboo Shoots Beets Brussel Sprouts Cabbage Lettuce Garlic Mushrooms Peas Rhubarb Water Chestnuts
  • Thanks - I think I avoided most of the small, bitty ones because they weren't as visually interesting - but if I do more I have to make sure I do something to make them exciting!

  • If you did a video in a bathtub full of peas, that would be visually interesting.

If you could find some small greenish round things to give the illusion of peas it might not cost so much.

I think the vegetable lady could use some expansion of her personality, not always so deadly serious and gloomy. Like sitting in a bathtub full of peas, still eccentric and obsessive, but with a new element of fun.

  • Valentine radishes to you today!

Please wear them in your hair.

  • I like the fact that the Related Videos column(?) has Procol Harum's A Whiter Shade Of Pale in it. Lol.

  • hey Elise?...could you consider making a videe where your either tied or hang cuffed to that wonderful bed of yours?. (those metal rails are just perfect for that little fantasy love...)

  • An over-exposed Elise on her bed...I suppose a comment like this was *bound* to happen.

  • Mmmm... ummmm... spinach?

  • Possibly! I think most of the times I have thought about doing spinach I have only had the frozen kind.

  • Well it's not much of a Prop worthy veggie. Yes I remember you putting frozen cubes of it in a chick pea surprise stir-fry or something. Frozen, fresh for salad, and canned. And canned taste nothing like fresh or unprocessed frozen cubes. I ate it like crazy because of Popeye when I was young. The steroid of its day.

  • Cats are half ghost, half secret-agent-ninja-commandos.

My gran would lock all her doors and windows before going to bed and would still wake up the next morning to find the neighbours' cat asleep at the bottom of the bed.

No one ever worked out how it was getting in!

  • Cats are certainly supernatural!

  • I didn't realise you were a Richard Coughlan fan. Cool :) I would suggest leeks as well if you haven't done them already.

  • He is in one of my Edinburgh festival videos from last year! I gloated I had more views (it is no longer true, mind!)

  • Cool I'll have to look that one up. Thank you so much for the sub, I hope you like my channel. :)

  • I am sure I will! Have a good weekend.

  • You too. :)

  • Kohlrabi or Romanesco Broccoli!!

Or onto Fruits maybe. : )

  • Well I've done broccoli ! Fruits might be a good move forward.

  • Do a new twist..Fruit......:) Rhubarb...

  • Rhubarb to you too! Yes, maybe fruits.

  • Fennel! George Washington's favorite vegetable!

  • I have done fennel!

  • Leeks?

BTW, wouldn't you know it, wikipedia has a list of vegetables, under List_of_culinary_vegetables. They have everything over there!

  • Ah, yes I don't think I have done leeks either.

  • I've always found leeks a little creepy.

They look like giant mutant green onions. :)

  • You're sitting in a bed talking about making a video with vegetables? So let me guess - no date for Valentine's?

By the way, lima beans are very big on the Delaware shore. For some reason, locally grown lima bean soup is quite a delicasy among the beachgoing tourists in the summer.

For now, our only crop seems to be icicles.

  • Use your wigs to get back into your rhythm. Collards & Grits ? Its St. Valintine's Day tomorrow, so when you hear a tango in the air, a hand carressing your back, and a kiss upon your palm ....

    ... Hello !

  • Arugula!

  • Had to look that up! We call it rocket over here., It is a good leaf!

  • Hey Elise, haven't been keeping up with your videos recently, but with the mention of vegetables I definitely needed to start watching again!!! Have you done the brussels sprout yet?

  • As a matter of fact no! Need to get working on the brassicas!

  • Purrrr meow meow =)

  • Hooray your bed made it no sleeping on the floor!

  • Kohlrabi? Didn't see it no your vid list, but I might have missed it. 8-)

  • I haven't really done any leafy vegetable - not sure why (spinach, lettuce and cabbage are also missing!) I am not sure why I have avoided all but pak choi!

  • @Eliseharris OH OH do courgette.. cause we don't have them in the USA. I have NO frikking clue what it is. If you have done one I need to see it.

  • It is a zucchini! I have done a video on it!

  • @Eliseharris I blame my husband he lied.. he said it wasn't a zucchini.. then again there are loads of things like black currant.. I never knew was grape.. he likes to have fun at my expense. He is English GRR. It isn't fun to make fun of the American. :P

  • Blackcurrant is a different fruit to grape. A blackcurrant is small and looks a bit like a blueberry - though it has a very distinctive flavour and grows on bushes.

  • Hey, you've got your giant flutes stored behind the bed, with smaller flutes stuck in the finger holes! What's going on?

I love that Procol Harum's "Whiter Shade of Pale" is in the related videos.

  • i was going to say do tomatoes' but tomatoes are not vegetable they are fruit.

  • They are technically a fruit but the US government counts them as a vegetable!

  • typical yanks

i was going to say the difference between knowledge and wisdom. knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit and wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salid LOL

  • paleface!? racist much! ;) If anyone picks on that little girl set the rottie on them (that'll be Richard)

Had you idea you did a book - might get one next pat day I think. Vegetables: I'd choose Red Bliss Potatoes because I'm a MUSE fan... but sadly I don't think you can get then in England :o

  • Damn I'm posting allot of comments...

    VEGETABLE!!!

    Luffa

or just search for vegetable list on google, and you'll find an awesome wiki vegie list :D

  • Luffa has been done, cucumber has been done - most things have been done now!

  • what, so you've done everything on the wikipedia vegetable list O.o

Daikon you haven't done yet, right?

  • That's right - no daikon so far.

  • You're serious? You've done one on... Chayote Courgette Capsicum Caigua Tinda Amaranth Arugula Catsear Chard Fat hen? All of those obscure vegetables?
  • Courgette isn't obscure (see also zucchini)! You are right I haven't down most of those, mind. Trouble is I would also have to find them somewhere.

  • What about eggplant? Or is that called something else on your side of the world?

(Sorry, I was too young when I left England. I can only remember carrots and cabbages.)

  • Done! It is aubergine over here.

  • Aha. Aubergine. Now I remember. :-)

  • Do you count mushrooms as vegetables? Strictly speaking they are not, but you could stretch the truth a bit.

  • I made a blog entry on the vegetable blog but haven't made the video to go with it! Vegetable is more a culinary term than anything so any non-animal , once-living organic matter can probably count. Maybe not bacteria but possibly mould!

  • "so any non-animal , once-living organic matter can probably count."

So you've done an episode on apples and oranges? :P

  • I should probably add "savoury"! Maybe I should move to fruits and herbs though.

  • @Eliseharris lol... yeah, but I like the simple title of vegetable, and I think that herbs also count :P

Yeah, it would be a waste of money to buy a vegetable and not eat it... not to mention a waste of food :P

  • Vegetable blog? You have a vegetable blog?

    Must check it out.

  • sitting in a bed, talking about vegetables... PERFECT!!! :D

  • rofl... the beginning was great XD... and he, does, I should know :P

  • Bok choy?

  • I believe I have already done the bok choy/pak choi!

  • Well there's always cucumbers...

  • @Ape65 Gesundheit!

  • I feel that, I am wicked pale too!!! Way to go white washed sister!

  • I've seen spectacle ghosts myself but mine look like the Mona Lisa.

    I wouln't mind a feline visitor sometimes.

  • That was a really sweet shout out :)

And I can't think of vegetables... sorry

    D:

  • I can't think of any either! I have made most of the obvious and a lot of the exotic ones already!

  • Not Good! I'll keep thinking and let you know if I think of one!

By the way, you don't look as pale as me :P trust me on that one xD

  • @Eliseharris Shout out please :D

  • I will see what I can do - though no promises!
