The rules were the same when I did showstopper mid America championships in the mid 90's, the jazz category could have two tumbling passes but the open category could have as many as the choreographer wanted. Tumbling is fair when it is in the open category, and truthfully I always found the open categories to be the best routines in the competition!

It's just a remix of "Hot Stuff" so you could probably find it on iTunes or whatever program you use to download music.

which we all thought was pretty ironic because the costume design and the dance were quite similar to the big noise we had done the year before and gotten runner up. some of the movements were identical on the same pieces of music. it was like getting beat by our own dance.

DSD used to go about evey other year, but then from '02-'05 we went every year.

I loved Hot Stuff. The main problem I think was that the performance suffered because the sound guy decided to turn the volume down so half the dancers couldn't hear the music. Thus, some started and others did not and they were completely off. They got to dance again for the show, but I think that the judges minds were already set.

It was some group doing the prayer. Deborahs has only won the Junior divsion twice in the history of Showstoppers. 1)1996 (Wall Street) 2) 2007 (Boy meets girl). we were in open , this was on the T.v show so it wasnt about tumbling or any of that bull it mainly came down to energy and perfomance. end of story. i remember some of the group that won this junior T.v. show came up to me with parents and told us that we got robbed

in showstopper's open category, there's no limit to how many tumbling passes in a dance. this dance was in the open category. debbie puts the tumbling in to showcase all that her dancers can do. for the open dance for each line the teachers tend to through in all of the flashy tricks and tumbles.

Is this school more of a cheerleading school than dance studio?... It very nice but more like a cheerleading squad...straight legs need to come up much higher but other wise nice.
