  • ca you do a video on the pattern 83?

  • Toggel Tou was a white nylon braided rope with a aluminium "toggle" on the end to enable them to be joined together to make a long rope.

We never actually used them for anything apart from opfok pt pulling land rovers across De Brug.

After 2nd phase training they got left behind and we moved out into the bush for final training before going operational.

  • Check out my video on the Pat. 70 assembling, I show it at the end of that video, let me know if it is still unclear and I will make one for you, thanks for the comment

  • Can you please make a video on how to wrap / roll up the straps to make evrything look neat n' tidy ....can't remember how to do this anymore!!!!!

Great videos by the way....about time SADF webbing gets the lime light!

  • The tokkeltou was mainly used by the mechanised infantry for tieing down tyres and equipment on the vehicles. By itself it is quite short but they wouldve linked a few together and in this way it couldve been used for towing other vehicles or any other uses they could find for it.

  • What is a tokkel tou used for ?

  • A fantastic video review, thorough with lots of extra info, good job! Would you mind if we linked this to our product descriptions of the Pattern 70 sets we have for sale in our online store? I bet our customers would enjoy it, and so would we who try to tell all this in just a couple of photos and a bit of text.
