@mywapple i failed at spelling in that comment lol. so thats why one of the gadgets on my pc shows 8 cores. im a pc and mac fanboy btw. i am 100% going to get for the ram but im not sure about the processor. its expensive for a boost of 0.1 ghz. I guess ill have to try one for myself.
What is the largest SSD you can get on an Apple I'm getting one for art college and I need as much space as possible but I like the functionality of the SSD.
i really am in the biggest dilemma here. i'm heading over to the US this july and planning to buy a mac. now the iMac i configured is $2,709 +$250ish for the ram upgrade (buy myself because apple rips us off), with 1tb hdd + 256gb ssd and 2gb amd video card. now thats an amazing build but the problem is i'd have to add another $350 for tax which adds upto . but the mbp 17" i configured is $3,262.95. is this macbook pro worth getting over the 27" imac?
@tven99 Well you have to ask your self if you want or need portability that kind of changes everything. If your okay with a stationary work station then you would want the iMac. I sell these on ebay and amazon let me know if I can help you.
@tven99 Depending on if you need portability or power. Of course if you can afford both then get both if not maybe I would say laptop since you can take it everywhere.

ia rg ram and processor worth it?
BionicSammich 7 months ago
@BionicSammich Yes it makes it so much faster. i7 does the hyper threading which turns the 4 cores to 8cores

@mywapple i was also considering a 512gb ssd or just a 500gb 7200tpm hd. would it be worth it?
BionicSammich 7 months ago
@BionicSammich 512GB is best if your not constrain to budget. It's so much faster
mywapple 7 months ago
@mywapple 512 isnt faster than a 256, its just more memory.
