am i the only one who thought the long ass saber battle between obi and anakin was unnecessary? there was no substance in that battle... The only epic scene was the end, when obi yelled his final words to anakin. like the prequels, its cool and all, but it lacks depth. the prequel and the original trilogy each seem to be targeted to such different audience, its no wonder people only like one and not the other.

Bummer, the Vader helmet in Ep3 is a fake!. That sucks! It still looks great though! I really think that Lucas should A: make a movie about after Return of the Jedi and B: make another story for the Old Republic, and/or for just before the Phantom Menace to really develop the characters introduced in the Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. That would be pretty awesome, and he can cast different actors for the parts! No issues there :)

They created Jar Jar to appeal to younger viewers so that they wouldn't be bored watching it. I remember watching Star Wars Ep. 1 and thought he was hilarious (I was 5) and now I can watch the actual story line now that I'm older . I've been watching Star Wars since I can remember and I think some people are a little bit too mean about the sequels. I honestly think they did pretty good explaining it for everyone. When Jedi die and return as ghosts, their last imprinted image is them as a Jedi, not a "magically healed" version of themselves when they were Sith. This is indicative mostly in the changing of their eyes, and the last time you ever saw Anakin as a true Jedi, he was a young man, not some old fart.

I like the classic trilogy but in my opinion the prequel is better. I find its story more interesting than the rebel forces and stuff. don't get me wrong, I love all the episodes. @Cami740 I don't like the prequels because they are more about effects than a story, compared to the original films. The character of Anakin sucks and is in my opinion not well developed at all! In fact these films are missing better character development and consistent writing, maybe even just one surprise in the films?! @philateliceun I think you underestimate it a little bit. I watched it for a second time and loved it. It has much deeper context within it. I do not care much for the action but it was pretty good. However you have to listen to yoda and how he talks about the dark side. You can see the character development throughout the movies. The "AHA" moments that luke skywalker gets. The entire series isn't about Luke Skywalker. It was about darth vader. he was the chosen one who takes down the emperor

We all know how good Portman, McGregor and Neeson are. Christensen just looks hot and has a great face. Lucas should rot in the fires of Mustafa for getting such wooden acting from them. Jar Jar was included purely at children. As a die hard SW fan since I was 7, the original trilogy is better and truly iconic (the battle of Hoth, drool) but you can't go past the technological improvements that make the new ones better visually. The sabre duels rock.
