  • This will be the song I play when I must kill someone.

  • This song is incredibly beautiful in sound and content, but what strikes me the strongest is her accent in song. Katyna Ranieri just about makes love to the English language with every word.

  • This song is in my 5 minute window.

  • This song is getting me through a bad breakup.

  • A masterpiece....

  • BEST MOVIE EVER

  • do you want a toothpick?

  • @FinkleFilmFun Goooooooosebumps. EPIC film.

  • sometimes when i get angry at someone i put this song on in my car, drive to their house, walk up to the front door and look in the window (but i dont go in cause that be weird)

  • @metman0705 sure, but looking into their window isn't! ;-)

  • @metman0705 this guy!

  • I love that scene I love the whole movie best movie ever

  • Nicolas Winding Refn is a MotherFucking genius for the way he utilized this song in the movie! A perfect song for Ryan Gosling to avenge Bryan Cranston's character Shannon! :')

  • After this movie. I swear i was like traumatized. But the good kind.

  • I wish I could sit on my grandma's lap as she sings this behind me during this scene.

  • drive<3

  • Very iconic: imgur dot com/1vDLO

  • just OMG...there´s nothing else to say...GREAT

  • Italians have two talents a) surrendering and b) composing great themes

  • @EvilKris

Love how you both pay them a compliment and take the piss out of them

  • that mask was fucking scary

  • Also, the fact Drive wasn't even nominated for an Oscar blew my fucking mind apart when I heard. One of my friends mentioned it to me at school and I thought he was shitting me. He wasn't. FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • @12bobsmith It actually has been nominated for an Oscar for best achievement in sound, I believe.

  • Best movie of 2011.

  • that was just awesome when I heard this track in the movie.... ooooohhhh

  • Thumbs up if you imagine Ryan Gosling with a mask while listening to this song.

  • Immenso!

  • Impresionante canción que reafirma la impresionante película Drive

  • Beautiful song

  • Hey does anyone know of some songs like this one?

  • @netteam4 " Edelweiss sung by Julie Andrews is also exciting.

  • This film "Drive" is a masterpiece. He wears the stunt mask as his life is becoming a movie scene. This scene is highly dramatic and iconic.

By the way I also saw in the past Uncle Tom and this tracks also add a lot of soul to the movie that is a great movie too.

  • You must see the uncle tom scene with this song, tons of negros beaten and killed by the white man

  • @Termodonte

I´m already imagining the drama of the scene, with this great background music.

Thanks to all the Italian composers of movie soundtracks ( Morricone, Rota, Piovani, Trovaioli...) for his wonderful dramatic music that enhances the film.

  • Anyone else disappointed that 99% of the comments are all about Drive, while Goodbye Uncle Tom is ignored once again? Both good, but to tell the truth I far prefered Uncle Tom.

  • @Kraisedion

I have not seen "Addio Zio Tom" but I guess as in "Drive", this song magnify the movie.

  • @fin1984landia It does indeed. It's a dividing film, but I think most will agree it has a fantastic soundtrack.

  • @Kraisedion if uncle tom was out last year and drive ages ago then maybe it wud be other way around

  • i could easily make a rap beat to this

  • @OldirtyHobo

That would be perfect for an animated movie version.

  • "Drive" is in 2011 what was in 1994 "Pulp Fiction". Sequences indelible in our memories.

"Drive es en 2011 lo que fue "Pulp Fiction" en 1994. Imborrables secuencias en nuestras memorias.

  • Thanks Drive for this song...This song is very pacesfull!..Iconic movie and music!!

  • Feels bad man.

  • Can this be found on Spotify?!!!

  • Thumbs up if Drive brought you here.

  • @disneyfundo99

    Indeed :)

  • Oh my love Look and see The Sun rising from the river Nature's miracle once more Will light the world But this light Is not for those men Still lost in An old black shadow Won't you help me to believe That they will see A day A brighter day When all the shadows Will fade away That day I'll cry That I believe That I believe Oh my love High above us The Sun now Embraces Nature And from Nature we should learn That all can start again As the stars must fade away To give a bright new day
  • Wow! This is a very beautiful song - almost perfect in resonance of lyric, melody, and meaning. And, very expressively sung. Does anyone know if this song has ever been covered.

  • Hmm. All this discussion about it. You guys must love Drive! I did. Perfecto! And this was my favourite song from its soundtrack.

  • when he walks to the door and spots the guy...he would spot the guy. And come on this is called as drive and should be off some thing on drive. And movie is so good..am waiting for another movie of such kind...i was happy to cry when this song and scene came...beautiful,wonderful movie..

  • Drive is still a good movie

  • Honestly i found the pizzeria scene unfortunately underwhelming...

here you have a FUCKIN HUGE build-up with this song piece and the driver slowly walking to the pizzeria with the creepy mask, creating such tension, suspense and climatic buildup. You would think something BIG is about to happen as he's at the entrance door and comes to a big climax.. but no, he's spots the guy and walks back to the car... that is to me, such a waste of a great buildup and I hate it when it becomes such a waste

  • @MaxJayJay Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

  • @MaxJayJay At first glance I definitely felt the same way but I saw the film twice and bought the soundtrack. The words in this song relate to the fact that Driver(Ryan Gosling) isn't suited for love and this won't be a happy ending. Also, the movie itself isn't necessarily over the top and tries to be somewhat "real". In that sense, if he were to break into the pizzeria and mess up all those people it would lose that realism. He's just a dude in this movie, not a super action star.

  • @FaustComplex Not sure how you were saying this film is trying to find realism when (a) it is a movie, has an excuse to be a little unreal and (b) there are SO MANY over-the-top elements in this film from the hyper-artistic direction to the HUGE amount violence and gore. Implying he is just a dude would be fine if he was an unskilled fighter out of his league and forced to fend himself. Yet the film painted him as this silent ass-kicking professional who can handle his own and two steps ahead.

  • @FaustComplex He's very much an action star in an indie film. Now leading to the pizzeria scene. As much as it is a wonderful song, to me it was pretty much not the right time to use it. If the point of the scene was for him to just walk up, look thur the door and come back to the car, it would have been quiet and quick, which makes it consistent to all of the entire film and yet remaining artistic. No need for slow walking pace or big music and no need to create such great tension and buildup.

  • @FaustComplex Not to say it is a crappy film. I actually like it. I applaud something that is trying to be artistic and different. I just don't think its great. There is a difference between being artistic and consistent and being artistic and not being consistent. If you love the film, thats fine. I'm just stating my opinion.

  • I just watched Drive and heard this song. Oh my! What a masterpiece!

  • @silkaem sombody gets it, most ppl either think this movie was a masterpiece or garbage

  • I watched SUPER NINJAS, CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST, and GOODBYE UNCLE TOM all on the same movie night. One of the most memorable movie nights I ever had. Wow!

  • @FilmsPointBlank that's a great movie night!

  • @FilmsPointBlank please tell me where i can watch 'goodbye uncle tom' on the net,,,i cant seem to find it,,thanks

  • @FilmsPointBlank dude you have gotta see 'drive' if u haven't yet :)

  • @FilmsPointBlank Well I saw that all of them don't have such a good ratings .... are they good movies ????

  • @FilmsPointBlank who watches cannibal holocaust and uncle tom at the same night? that's the most wierd combination ihave heard

  • @1337wuzty1337 wierd in what way?

  • @FilmsPointBlank in cannibal holocust ýou seea woman raped by 5 guys and gts her head cut off. and a guy gets his penis cut of you see a dead woman sitting on a pole that goes through her mouth to her butt and a girl gets a huge stone in her v*gina and uncle tom is a kids movie........

  • @1337wuzty1337 addio zio tom is maybe a nazi kids movie, regardless, cannibal made an impression, but tom killed i t that night, and left the winner.

  • anyone who knows the chords?

  • @tinpanalley89 I highly doubt it uses anything other than I-IV-V, so just figure out the key and you're fine.

  • I just looked at the movie & It is sick & sad hearing the song now & thinking about the movie.

  • I just looked at the movie & It is sick & sad hearing the song now & thinking about the movie.

  • @JFriends911 If you haven't seen the entire movie and have only seen a preview you wont understand but the movie intertwines this song in such a great song. Its so sweet.

  • Nicolas Refn said that Goodbye Uncle Tom is the most offensive film ever made. In his next movie he should use another theme by Riz Ortolani...the theme to Cannibal Holocaust. Another offensive film from the same composer with a beautiful theme.

  • Dahvie vanity brought my hear in tears

  • Very similar in feel to the Honda "Impossible Dream" song.

    Truly epic.

  • I could not stand this song when it played during Drive... didn't fit the scene or the movie...took me right out of the story.

  • @fingerrage It fits perfectly to me, I remember Ron Perlman's big laugh next to the old lady's hieratic face in the restaurant.

  • please refresh my memory: in which scene of Drive there is this song?

  • @MissBadGirl95 when he puts the stunt mask on and drowns hell boy, it starts playing right when driver gets to his friend who had his veins opened up this has to be my favorite song from this awesome movie the scenes it plays are great too just watch the movie again i love listening to its music and watching the badass parts

  • @billybobboberson

    thanks

  • excellent movie and song !!!!

  • thumbs up if you want this song as a single!!!

  • It did bring me here, and it took me a while to find it. If's the best musical moment in the movie Drive, and there are a lot of them.

  • God damn this gives me the chills.

    Amazing.

  • Going to see for the 3rd time, today.

  • This scene is the best in the movie by far.

  • loooooooooooooooooooooooooooovvveeeeeeee it

  • One person didn't like "Drive". Shame. The world would be a better place if Hollywood made more films like "Drive"; than anything produced by Michael Bay or Jerry Bruckheimer.

  • @JesusCristo2002 The pre-pubescent population is growing far too rapidly for that my friend.

  • The scene in which this song is played is literally the most intense/bad ass/ridiculously cool sequence in a movie to date.

  • @TheBradcake I totally agree. This is what makes this movie stands out, the scenes combined with these great music that makes you feel as if you are floating in the clouds at least for the moment. This movie will make these cool songs even more popular.

  • @TheBradcake What are you talking about? Nothing badass happens when this song is playing in the movie. It's a heartfelt moment and then the pizzaria, but no "bad ass/intense/ridiculously cool sequence".... Have you even seen this?

  • THIS IS SHIT

  • PIZZERIA SCENE...HISTORY !!!!

  • I'm trying to remember...what scene was this song played with? The elevator?

  • This is such an oddly beautiful song. I love the way "Drive" integrated this music.

  • I wish it was longer! Such a good song!!!!

  • Great tunes in this movie. This song and "a real hero" also helped to elevate this movie to the next level to becoming a wonderful and spectacular movie. I need to get these tunes too, very relaxing. This movie-music combination is a great work of art from the movie directors and producers.

  • Does anyone know where the mp3 of that song (or the album if it is in any album) on the internet ? I would appreciate a lot. This is beautiful.

  • Crazy how Ryan Gosling wearing a mask of police officer who looks stoned brought us here to listen to this song.I'm glad it did

  • great songs for the final film drive!

  • At first the movie was slow but getting to the end it got an real good movie!!

And the music was so nice that this next day i wanted to hear it again, thanks for this great compilation, fcking lovely!

  • /watch?v=taQ_E9OeBOY&feature=youtu.be&hd=1

  • i uploaded that scene :D

  • i have played music all my life .searching for that song that tells me their is a god .it took me over 40 years ....i have found god ..this is god this is the work of god and i am truly blessed ................thank you

  • Oh my God, what a beautiful song. Drive is a great movie.

  • The epic scenes from Drive keep spinning in my head over and over again when I hear this song
