@jmwintenn im talking about lag or bugs, im talking about how awful the game is. and im not buying it lol. its so visually unappealing, clunky, and just plain awful, i dont want to watch cut scenes every 5 minutes for stupid little quests and the game isnt giving me any reason to care about what is happening or why. the game. is. AWFUL. I love star wars, but that doesnt mean you have to kiss this games @ss. its a watered down rift with star wars skins.

@ikevhawk There's also the fact the game is new, has many, many years ahead of it to expand and improve through patches, expansions and so on.

So why are people saying it's shit? ;) It's not even out, hasn't even set afoot, hasn't even been out for more than a few years which defines whether or not an MMO is good. Therefor, the majority of criticism (that compares it to other MMO's currently out) = moot, an irrelevant.

Because, from the looks of WoW (as an example), it's active playerbase has gradually decreased over the years its been out. A whopping 25% of it's playerbase has decided to stop playing altogether and join SWTOR primarily because Blizzard is getting horribly desperate. Pandas? Really? Wtf. And a good portion of those players started from the very vanilla of it; stating the game has gradually gotten worse and worse with each content-release etc.

One of the things those very WoW players said they love best about SWTOR is that the whole 'grind' feeling is gone; and those who felt it was still there stated it was 'fun' in comparison to the "dull, lifeless grind" that WoW emphasized heavily on.

@Unkehz0r Hint: The beta was 3 weeks before launch, stores get final copies at least a week sometimes 2 weeks in advance of a launch. If this wasn't the final build then there is no way they would meet the December 20 launch date. Case closed. Ignored. Check and mate.

@DisneyDeathCamp I'm not totally in love with Star Wars, but I like SW:TOR because WoW has just gotten shitty. Blizzard's getting desperate and are just trying too hard to keep players in all the wrong ways. SW:TOR is something new and doesn't have the grind feeling that WoW has that I have grown to hate in my years of playing it.
