@UndercoverLdn it was awful. This was the only "good" scene. The 3D made everything blurry and dark, and the plot and dialogue made it worse. I'm not sure you can even call that an original, though, since this isn't based on that movie - it's based on a series of books, the same as that one. It isn't supposed to be a newer version, but a different one.

@wasniface Do you honestly think this movie would've been made if the old Arnold Schwarzenegger one wasn't? No, this movie probably wouldn't, its clearly just trying to cash in on the old ones success even if it isn't a remake. The acting and special effects are dated but still good. Plus the camerwork in the original was fantastic so i really don't know where you were going with that. The acting is atrocious in this, incredibly fake growling dialogue don't give you an impression of bad acting?

@wasniface I was actually talking about the lead actors acting when he goes in to batman gravely voice mode. Also the camerawork in the original wasn't fantastic at all, but compared to this? It is alot better, also this movie tries WAY to hard to be badass, which is why it fails miserably.

@wasniface There isn't anything wrong with it its just its trying TOO HARD to be badass, For instance, Charles Bronson and Clint Eastwood have a naturally badass presence about them in there movies, but this movie's actors don't and they try too hard to make them badass, same with the action scenes. They are just trying way too hard and not succeeding.

@TheGermandude2 i agreed with you, Momoa on top of everybody just underrastimate the character, caring only about doing angry faces and act badass when conan is more cold most of the time in the books, he dont add deepness on the role, but i guess is the director that you have to blame, the story dont follow a linear plot i will spoil only the fact that this movie got the meaningless and pointless ending ever.

I can appreciate what they tried to do here. However.... it's just a wee bit ridiculous. I'm no authority on how savages fought back then but it's a bit surprising that they didn't just overwhelm him with their numbers instead of sitting back and going one at a time. Not only that if someone stabs you in the foot you don't lean back and howl in pain you drop on that person to stop them from what they're doing. I have to wonder about the people who choreograph this stuff.. what do they know?

This is an imagining of what it might have been like around 4,000 BC. Conan likely wouldn't have been so small in comparison to the other boys in his tribe since he grows up to be so large. However, maybe he was a few years younger than they were in this clip. The book was a fiction but the author had done his research.
