I guess you can't say that about Michigan thou...LMAO. and wait till next season.. if they havent already replaced him. What a shame! Rich was some what a good coach at WVU. But he turned on his own state. Even his home town of "Grant Town" put up signs saying "Stay Out Rich". Im glad that he is screwing up michigan's football program. I would call in Instant Karma. For Rich and the people who talked him into leaving WVU. He acts like we should care? What a dumb ass! Now its effecting his mental thoughts. Rich..you look like shit! and guess what... after this year..I would say you wont be coaching anything again!

The fact that Rich Rodriguez is a failure at Michigan is less a comment on Rodriguez (it was obvious his success was due to (a) a gimmick offense and (b) an phenomenal college QB named Pat White) than it is a damning statement on the decision-making of the UM athletic department in hiring guy like this.

Wow, I think you are the only other guy on the boards/youtube ive seen who gets it. Ive said the same thing: Pat White/Slaton made this guy. Also I can't believe if people like us who recognized that just by observation from watching a few years that U-M with all of their "resources" and supposed knowledge did not realize it.

Rodriguez did exactly what I would tell anyone else to do - Strike while the iron is hot. Look how many people have been hurt. 1 - Rodriguez for bailing on WVU and having to pay 1.5 million dollars for the buyout. 2 - Bill Martin, for not doing the due diligence on this guy. 3 - Pres. Mary Sue Coleman for saying UM would not help Rodriguez with the buyout and THEN paying 2.5 million of the buyout when things started turning REALLY ugly and UM was going to get dragged down into the muck.

Gimmick? The spread started in the early 90s and is now on it's way into the NFL. What do you think the Wildcat is? It's a facet of the spread offense. Top colleges all over the country are using it. Florida, LSU, Texas, Oklahoma, the list goes on.

And if Pat nad Steve "made" RR, explain howhe won 2 conference titles at WVU... before either of them got there.

Not to mention he took Glenville State from being shut out 8 times to winning 5 straight conference titles... how'd that happen?

All they have had is freshman and walkons. Give the offense time...Pat White wasn't the full time starter until his third year and really struggled to throw the ball early in his career. You can defend 5-7 I believe. This team is starting way more underclassmen than any other team in the Big Ten. 17 guys in the defense's 2 deep were underclassmen which is twice what everybody else had. They are young. Rich may not be a great coach but neither is harbaugh IMO. People need to be patient

This guy is in way over his head. He is not fit to coach at a top bcs school. His style is more suited for a wac, mountain west type school where nobody plays defense. He could win a lot there but it will never happen here.

Sigh... The ignorance... I've read some comments and someone stated we would win one out of the last two games... It looks extremely bleak in my opinion. Wisconsin will run the ball down our throats as we lack basic tackling. Ohio State will annihilate us once again. There is no "chilling out", this is MICHIGAN, winning 5-7 games a season and going 1-7 in Big Ten play is unacceptable. Unless Rodriguez miraculously wins the next two games or improves drastically next season, I believe he's done.

All I want to know is what it's gonna take to make Michigan a consistent top 25 team and big 10 contender again. Personally, I think we need to beat Ohio State. The program has been on a downward spiral ever sense that loss to OSU in 2006, with their only really meaningful win coming aganst Florida in 2008...I believe that once Michigan beats OSU again, the team will gain confidence and start playing well again. However, I don't know when that's going to happen...

Bottom Line; Lloyd left NOTHING. We have walk ons in front of Carr's free ride players. Put up 36 you win 9-10. imagine this team with an even mediocre defense. One rich has his players in place.....it's gonna be a thing of wonder to behold.. I'm 48 and not used to this but I see what he's doing and it's gonna be newew, better......he has the technology ;-) PATIENCE my maize and bluuuue funk soul brothers and sister...patience.

Come on, I understand Carr's defense was deteriorating, but Rodriguez has brought it to an all time low. It's just a lack of effort, discipline, basic skills out there. Coaching is to blame for that.

Uh, Carr had such a great defense, they gave up 34 points and LOST to Appalachian State...

RR has won everywhere he's ever been, and done it convincingly. He's won 10 conference titles in 16 years, and he only had Pat White for 4, so there goes that reason.

it's just a longer process than we thought it would be. there are lots of upsides to this team. They can score on anybody. Really, this year is almost like starting over because of all the new freshman that are starting. Tate Forcier has great but has lost games with mistakes. Our offense will be great next year and our defense can only improve.

It's not coaching, if everyone had done some requisite reading, they'd have realized this team is lacking talent in every major area (we're playing freshmen, walk-ons, and redshirts).

Rich Rod is a brilliant coach, who's doing everything he can given the situation. I love Lloyd, but if you want to place blame, place it on him, he recruited zilch in 2007; 2008 was 3/4 his class; and 2009 was Rich's first FULL class! Give it time.

I think everyone should chill out, goin into the season people projected 5,6,7 wins. That's the reality. The fast start ignited everyone into believing this team was more than they really were. They'll finish 6-6. I'm sure they'll win at least one more game to end the season. Michigan's still building, it's going to take time. Not everyone is willing to wait, and that's understandable.

@djkret111 I totally agree with you. I dont understand why people hate Rich Rod so much. A. He got of to a late start for recruiting when he got the job. B. He had to start with all freshman. C. We just got switched our offense. If Michigan does bad this then i will say Rich Rod is a bad coach. But until then IN RICH ROD WE TRUST!

Honestly, I feel so sorry for UM, although I am a Buckeyes fan. Your coach is really bad, and it is such a pity that THE GAME is not that exciting anymore. I hope you can fire this guy and get a NORMAL coach, which is enough because I don't think your team is bad in talent--just lack of good coaching.

As a WVU fan I hate to say this, but wasnt it a year or so ago you all were praising the guy. If you ask me he should have just stayed at WVU both him and the school had a good thing going and now we have Bill Pyle and your school is going to the crapper.

No matter how bad previous post-Bo coaches may have sucked, at least they always got us to a bowl game. This guy has obviously failed to inspire his team to perform in the second half, even with violating NCAA rules.

It's almost as if the team is deliberately tanking games in order to make their coach look bad.

Now I don't know about all of that but in the end, yes... the coach looks VERY bad.

I don't think he looks bad because the players are scheming against him or because the players don't like him or any of that. I think Rich Rod looks bad because, in fact, HE IS BAD!

The Michigan football program is dieing and Coach Rod is killing it. We need to remove this cancer from the program.
