The call quality is good, And texting is better on it than it was on the chocolaste 2 only because they keypad isn't all scrunched up. But the rubber coating on the back does get slick and the phoneis hard to hold on to.

No not at all. But the keypad actually scratches the screen and as i said before i had issues with my other chocolate 3 turning itself off and on , It finally got so bad that i had to take it to get replaced. If i were you i wouldn't get this. There are better phones out there

I have this phone, what you could do is set the backlight on it to like 10s, (thats what I did) if u play music alot, that will take power cuz its got the 2 speakers. they also sell those Extended Life batteries. im getting one soon, mine will run for about 3 days on a charge (2 hrs a day on calls. about 90 texts a day). also, if your service is out of range or in a metal building with interference, that will eat away ur power significantly as well.

I've had the Chocolate 2 for about a year.

Its very durable, reliable, and battery conservation is decent.

Lol, i still have the plastic protective covering over my front screen from opening it form the box when i first got it.

my screen is literally scratch less on the front.

Im getting a Samsung Omnia i910 sooner or later, which is very nice sounding, a MAJOR, MAJORRRR upgrade from a chocolate 2..

Hah, I have the chocolate two and this phone is like exactly the same as mine. (don't get the chocolate 2 OR 3, the scroll wheel sucks and the OK button stops working after a while) Also, the camera isn't very good either. I would reccommend the LG EnV Touch. But DO NOT get this phone.

Me too!! and i'm finally about to retire it - because i lost my battery- and that was already my second battery- and the last one i could find at the store- which costed me enough. and the battery only broke because i was a little hard on it and chucked it at a wall lol. it's fell many times- twice in a toilet and it still lives. the only real problem was the charger plug in area.. I haven't heard of the Chocolate 3 around here- how is the Voyager's plug in area?

It's a great phone, i just bought one yesterday.. I must warm everyone however. It does not work with Apple macintosh operating systems, quite disappointing... I tried downloading Verizon Rhapsody music software and it will not work with my operating system.. i currently have Leopard OS X the newest version... What are you doing on the phone? Talking and texting doesnt do much to the battery, but using get it now features and buying songs etc. Really wastes the battery. Also a HUGE battery waster that wouldn't let my phone live for atleast a few hours was using a picture from your microSD card as your wallpaper. Easily fixable and works like a charm (if that was the problem.)

I went from a phone (lg 8300) that played music, games, and constant playing on it and its two years old. The battery lasted a day and a half. I have only had this phone since Christmas. I haven't even downloaded music or anything and I cant get it to last a day. My daughter has the same phone and she had 3 bars and it died during a conversation. I have been with VZ for 8 years and this is the worse phone I have EVER had.

well, you could buy it directly on vcast or u could get the music kit at verizon and then import your cds. so you'd just have to buy the music kit. vcast does occasionally have free songs, but they're usually really dumb. so mostly, yes you have to pay for it. music kit is about $70
