Nice work, we liked your video very much so we embedded it on ChefCommons . com w/ link back and reference to Youtube. (Let us know if you don't wish for it to be featured)
this is not a traditional vietnamese rice. if he tried to recreate "soy", this is totally wrong. traditional rice is steemed white rice (the normal one which everyone eats daily) and you got the special one "soy" a bit sweeter but with beans
This is called xoi dua (steamed sticky rice with coconut) dude. Very common in the North. By the way, there are many variations of xoi and this is only one of it.
this is like soy/xoi? idk how to spell it. But it's like that right? You can use food dyye, my mom usually leaves the right in coconut milk for several hours and then mixes in coconut shreds, and sesame seads.
You can buy the rice at any Asian market. Ask for sticky rice or sweet rice because they both are the same rice. Be sure to use the steamer for best result. Good luck Vincent.
wow that looks good! it's like a sweet dessert after a good meal! excellent and easy! I only have 1 request may you please put the amount/measurements of the ingredients and were you using cooking rice or not?
Oh wow really fresh coconut. I would lov to try that. Here in the US its too dried out. Yuck.

Is it common food in North Vietnam? Coconut and Sesame are not very common there, right? Interesting to know these dishes.

That's actually delicious! What i do is i mixed in the sugar before i eat it so it does not melt in to the rice. Either way it's really good !
