The purpose of a remix is to... "remix" it. This is a remix. West took the bass out and added a different beat to it. In its simplicity, it not only modernizes the song, but it showcases how brilliant the original song is, even without one of its key elements (its bassline). So I don't understand all the hate. It's a nice remix.
