  • your right folks, this was played all the time in the African clubs in Moss- side in 84. 84 was the best year for pure funk and this tune tops it as the best example of what the states produced in that year. But my favourite tune of the all time in this period was ' JUST KEEP ON WALKING' BY Rod, che ge um gum bum, che ge um gum bum. Whatever they were taking when they created that masterpiece, i want some.

  • Wonderful tune, what grabs me is the aching vocals from Miss Joy, driven by the almost hesitant backing of piano,rhythm guitar & Latin percussion, while the lyrics hint at uncertain feelings.
