The best part on this track is that it feels much longer than just 5:04 mins. So much variety. From that genious "Full HD Sci-Fi Scream"-line to the choirs later on the track. Let alone the very special solos..

I think the slight change in vocal style is healthy for a band. Be thankful they didn't part ways like Iron Maiden...we woudl have had another Blaze Bayley situation on our hands where it was a good singer matched with a wrong band and we have to follow Tony's solo career...which i would totally audition to be his guitarist because he is god lol.

@4eSaintSeiya...im not sure it has meaning. kakko is known for writing in metaphors(as any SA follower knows), it appears that the message he is attempting to relay is nothing is as it seems. something appearing to be truth in one aspect would appear as a fiction in another. i believe this song is based upon the feeling of contradiction. contradiction examples 'can i trust my own eyes, is that me in disguise' 'im too tired to be hypnotized' 'do not kno a soul in here but can remember the faces'

@4eSaintSeiya According to Tony it's about the X-Files which he's a huge fan of. There's probably no real hidden meaning and even if there was, Tony's also said before that he prefers to let people find their own personal meaning to the songs he writes.

This album is certainly one that grows on you, but it grows into an absolute gem of an album. As someone who more enjoys progressive music, this is my second favourite album, just behind Reckoning Night, thought you cant beat the older albums for a decent power metal fix :D

@Diruhknl everyone is entitled to their opinion, however, i wouldnt say it sucked, it just has a different style. the style change actually started with unia.personally, i think the fact that elias is no match for janis guitar god-ness status led the newer albums to be simplified. one thing i noticed when i went to one of their concerts is that yes, elias CAN play the older riffs, however, he couldnt match the ability to relay the emotion.i like flag in the ground.originally a tricky beans demo.

Yeah it dosen't sound like old sonata. They allmost end the band because they were bord with the music that they have been playing for a long time now. They decided to move on and change their style. The Unia album was alredy changin but this album The Days Of Grays was so different than example the Silence album. I like the old Sonata better, but there is some good songs in this album too.
