@Jessieandkirk how can it not be real? I had a hypnobaby in 2009, and it was amazing. I didn't feel "pain" and while pushing was intense, it was not the painful experience that I'd had with my other four children. This is beautiful and absolutely real. Does it work for everyone? No. But that doesn't make it unrealistic and it isn't meant to belittle anyone else's birth experience.
beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing!! I would say this is as real as it gets i can see your pain and vulnerability but also your conviction to bring your baby into the world as naturally and calmly as possible! Great job!

This is just as good as it gets. I too had a home birth and used Hypnobabies. It's all about reframing your concepts of pain and "making friends" with the path your body and baby choose...it certainly looks as though you did that!!! Thank you for sharing this video- I love that it is so real- no music, no captions, just birth in its purest, most ecstatic form! Congratulations mama!!!
Beautiful birth, great job Mama! Jessieandkirk, this is a completely realistic portrayal of a peaceful, natural homebirth! I have had all of mine at home and they have all been lovely. "This is not real" What an absolutely insulting thing to say! Shame on you. It seems that YOU are the one who feels jealous. Congratulate the mother and work out your issues elsewhere.
Wow that was so beautiful. I am sitting here crying. You are such an inspiration to mothers who are trying to bring back this beautiful birth experience. Congratulations!
Haha, well I'm not sure how much more real it can get JessieandKrik:). I assure you it is very real, that is in fact me giving birth to my daughter. I did feel pain, I felt a lot of pain in fact (hence the "oh God, it hurts so bad!"). However, in spite of the pain my birth was peaceful, and very empowering thanks to a lot of preparation through Hypnobabies. With all of the negative stories (which is the huge majority) about birth out there, I wanted to share a positive one:).
this is unrealistic and would make alot of other women feel bad about their births, this is not real! Birth is painful it does not make a women weak to feel the pain of bearing her child, this si absolute rubbish it is not real.
@JessieandKirk What do you think this is, special effects? As a doula I have seen such a wide range of births. I have seen a woman who had a birth like this one and the a few years later and such an intensely challenging level of pain that they opt for anesthesia. This should make no one ell bad about themselves if anything it may make others jealous. I dont diminish a mothers value when she choses an epidural so in turn I wont diminish a woman's value if she has a calm peaceful birth.
@JessieandKirk Sounds like you had a painful birth experience...no, it doesn't make a woman weak to feel the pain of childbirth, but it isn't unrealistic that she can do it calmly either. It's up to the woman and how she chooses to deal with the pain.
@JessieandKirk What makes you assume her experience was pain-free? Perhaps she has a higher pain threshold than many women? I know plenty of women who are able to withstand the pain of child birth without medication or intervention. How can you declare this mother's experience to be "absolute rubbish" when you were not her, in her shoes?
@JessieandKirk Child birth does not have to be as painfull as everyone thinks. In fact laboring on your back can really increase the pain, along with other things. Being calm and relaxed and finding the position that work for you are important. I won't say it is not painful, but clearly it doesn't have to be tourcher.
Absolutely amazing! I'm smiling because I remember those same sensations... you did beautifully! I wish every pregnant woman could see your video rather than the ones that only scare women into thinking birth has to be the most painful experience ever. Your video is so beautiful! Congratulations! I used hypnobabies for my 2nd baby born last May.
Yes I was. It helped so much, I felt totally at peace through my entire labor. I was actually not convinced it was time for me to push (even though it obviously was) since I had not experienced nearly as much discomfort or feelings of typical transition self-doubt as I did with the birth of my first child. I will be practicing Hypnobabies for the births of any other children I may have and highly recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful and empowering birth experience.
Wow!
