With this song nore than any other, Alanis reminds me of a young Janis Joplin... (not that she's trying to sound like Janis... shes just being Alanis)... and not really that she sounds like Janis at all really... just how this song comes over... the aditude... or personality... Janis was a "Part Girl" for sure... but mostly, (like Alanis) she just didn't give a shit what other people thought about her, and it showed in her music. (saw Janis 4 times, once at my high school 2mo. before she died.)
