to say, the Soviet Union posed a bigger threat to us than any terrorist ever did. In today's world, we can protect the borders, patrol our waters with navy vessels, and use technology to keep out terrorists! we don't need to go all over the freaking place looking for one asshole or a bunch in every country. Because they are in every country. Home grown terrorists also. You can't stop reality.
You sound like a Democrat. Only they want to end the war, establish fiscal responsibility and a balanced budget, and weaken government power. So why vote for Ron Paul?
The Democratic party was the pro-war party during Korea, and Vietnam. They are also the big-government party historically. I'm anti-war. I believe in fiscal conservatism, small government, and individual liberty just like I did in the 80's when I went to Washington to work with my Congressman.
RON PAUL is the only man left defending what REAL REPUBLICANS believe in.
You obviously didn't even watch his speech. John McCain said, "Make it a hundred... AS LONG AS AMERICAN ARE NOT BEING INJURED OR HARMED OR WOUNDED OR KILLED". You're talking just like a liberal, so if you want to running away from a fight with your tail between your legs just go support a Democrat.

McCAIN FOR PRESIDENT.
Unfortunately my naive tough-talking friend, you've fallen for the lie. Iraq has nothing to do with 9/11, the invasion was planned before the Bush administration took office. Read "Plan of Attack" by Woodward dumbass, and then get back to me.
For starters, we would be saving billions...which in return could be better spent on ACTUALLY capturing those responsible for 9/11 at a fraction of the cost. What a crazy idea...instead I'd rather spend ourselves into brankruptcy so we can make Iraq into a model democracy for another 100 years.
The problem comparing our presence in Japan and South Korea with that of Iraq is that we are not at war in either Japan or South Korea. It is disingenuous to even think of them as being the same. No one has died as the result of hostilities, meaning *WAR*, in either Japan or South Korea. Men and women *are* dying in Iraq!
We've no business in Iraq. Let's bring 'em home, protect our own borders, and save a lot of money!

he seems to miss the point. We don't have people dying in S Korea or Japan; The point is, it's ok to stay in a volatile region, as long as our people aren't getting killed. If we had left S Korea 5, 10 years after the armistice, the North would have simply invaded again. No one's died after that, but our presence has kept the peace. Same here.
Duh they have oil of course we want to be there for a hundred years. And your vote for Ron Paul is like a vote for john edwards. We need our republican votes geared toward 1 Fact. You have a great voice stop hating and understand how politics work. We want democrats to be unclear as republicans we need set example and be clear. Vote McCain 2008
Ron Paul supporters are as virtuous with their votes as their representative Ron Paul. A vote for McCain would be to vote against the principles of the Constitution, and we quite simply don't do that. That's what CORPS do, not PATRIOTS!
The New York Times on Sunday Jan 13,2008: At least 121 Iraq and Afghanistan war vetrans have commited a killing or been charged in one in the United States after returning from combat. It's only fair: americans killing americans..Truely The Lord Works In Mysterious Ways. Go ahead, support the war in iraq, God willing, you're next.

Ron Paul is clearly the least racist because of his willingness to repeal racist laws, crh1976. I'm not so sure about you, however. If you are so easily swayed by unsubstantiated yellow press, are you really informed or really dumb?
Ah, so you deny many blatantly racist articles were consistently written on a newsletter owned and distributed by Ron Paul, with Ron Paul's name at the top of the newsletter. I guess the yellow press should have just "kept their mouth shut" about it, eh? Interesting.
The remains of captured Navy pilot, Larry Van Renselaar, came home in a body bag, sent back by the North Vietnamese in 1989, after his wife put up a 20 year fight against a corrupt U.S. government, concealing her husband's whereabouts as a POW for political expediency reasons.
"Hey, it takes a while to pump that 30 trillion of oil"
What baffles me, is people still see this and think, he really didnt say that, or I think he is just making a point, or whats even more baffling is people who say YA THATS RIGHT 100 YEARS KILL THEM MUSLIMS.
I see what Ron Paul says and think, these are not just words of freedom, but words that combat evil and wrong doing.

Good points, but I think we can be much more effective by not using offensive language or saying things like "i hate you McCain". We might feel strongly about the insanity and injustice of his positions, and we should contiue to voice our passionate indignation about his policies and intentions just as christogarcia does, but we can do this without becoming so bitter and hateful within ourselves. This will only help the Ron Paul campaign and his message.
I wasn't sure if I should leave the "I hate you McCain" bit in the video, but it was a heartfelt response when I listened to McCain's hubris. I have been fighting against this war for 5 years. I made a movie called "Portrait of a Soldier" after the Abu Graib scandal hit. The fact is I do hate all of the people who have blood on their hands from this War of Agression for Oil that we we are still being lied to about.
How do you respond to families of the fallen like my best friend Lcpl. Brian Montgomery who support the war effort and support McCain?
Just like the bases we have in Guam and Okinawa, McCain was referring to Iraq becoming a stantion of democracy inm the Middle East. I fought in Al Anbar province in 2005 with the Marines. The place is 180 degrees in a more positive direction now with people taking up arms against the insurgents. Do you just disregard the progress? Serious question...
I believe that the most important principle in a civilized society is NEVER initiate violence. By doing so the cycle of eye for an eye, or "justice" begins. America's "Pre-Emptive War" doctrine is ridiculous because by our own standard, Iran is would be justified in attacking us for our threats! Therefore, it is merely an excuse for aggression. Iraq was not a threat, and it breaks my heart your best friend died. Remember, all of our founding fathers were "insurgents" to King George III.
I respect your opinion sir, but long ago I stopped concerning myself about the reason we went to Iraq or pre-emptive actions prefacing an attack from Saddam and his terrorist funding regime. Whats done is done and McCain, having been a Vietnam POW and witnessing our cut and run retreat from Vietnam leaving families of the 58,000 dead Americans wondering why they left and let thier son's die in vain.
I think from McCain's standpoint that would be the worst thing to do, and I agree. Especially with the progress we've made and the swing in the attitude of the Iraqis towards stamping out terrorism that is ruining thier lives. But I won't be naive and think that Iraqis are doing it all to support the interim Government there. It could be tribal ties or simply just protecting thier families.
Alot of Americans don't like our Gov't, including me, but if China came here i would fight to the death to get rid of them. Try looking at it from their point of view. How do we tell people what to do when our country is so far from perfect?
As long as we are signing up and fighting you never have to worry about that:)
Trust me, I have looked at it from their point of view. I lived with Iraqi families during several operations. They made friends quickly with me because I am of Lebanese ancestry. They made me dolma fartayer and dates and pitas and we ate together and drank chai. The insurgency is not homegrown. Its foreign.
Maybe because I represent the U.S. foreign policy in Iraq in action-the tip of the spear, so to speak. Or the Man-Machine is you want a random Kraftwerk reference....IDK
I'm at work man...I work in a bank....I get bored sitting at my desk. But....
I great man once told me...If you are going to Vegas- hit up the Swinger's club, buy a decent looking prostitute and have her pose as your wife in there, hand her off for some hot trophy wife that's been touched by one dick for the last ten years...comoplete the mission....then hit up the Casino
Talk about a fuckin' war pig, McCain is full of military madness. If this country continues to start wars and police the world we as a nation are done for. The world already hates us already and will consort to destroy us. If elected McCain would not hesitate to reinstate the draft and we will have riots in the streets and on our college campuses just like in 1968 during Viet Nam.
2008 could be a year of change alright- for the worse and warmongers like McCain will lead the charge!
I'm also a veteran who has lost many friends and attended many funerals. To just just up and leave would dishonor everyone who has served and especially those who have been injured or killed.
God Bless you brother. We haven't bled and died for nothing, but its not surprising to see that one of those people gave you a thumbs down. I kinda feel bad for this generation. We might end up being like Vietnam Vets blamed for atrocities we've never committed and forced to hire and fire our employees in our businesses who carry this lazy attitude of most of these liberal college kids who expect everything handed to them
Couldn't have said it better myself! I'd ask you to join the Ron Paul Revolution but I suspect you already have. Anyway great job christogarcia! RON PAUL 2008!!!
Yes we see it and I hate McCain as well. The struggle is trying to get the rest of the mindless zombified sheople to see it. Keep up the good work spread the message of Ron Paul and freedom never give up the fight.
McCain had given so much in Vietnam that he can't see that war was wrong also. Paul was right we left! Now we trade etc. with them. McCain is trapped in the past. Plus he sold his soul to the NeoCons on a promise that they would make him Pres. RON PAUL and the MESSAGE 2008
Your blind to what the "business" side of what is happening in Iraq is. To be honest, that is what he is talking about our being there for 100 years and thats why they want us the fuck out of there!! We have no right moving in and making Iraq our next Walmart shopping center!!
But McCain is surging, the surge is working. Thank God for McCain, and thank God for Huck, Mitt, Rudy, Hill, Obama, Fred, Hillary and Edwards. They are all the same; that was brilliant work God. The only choice is Ron Paul.
McCain is going to run on the "we're tough, we're committed, we're America" thing. Ron Paul needs to show the public the military support he has. Maybe a commercial of soldier after soldier saying, "I'm voting for Ron Paul."
If he had his way he would nuke Vietnam, China, Russia etc. since he only knows how to kill and send others to their death.
Ron Paul is Eisenhower, not only a veteran but one that hates the military industrial complex too! Do your history research its in any 5th grade text book :)
I hate John McCain and all of the other globalist neo-cons. I also hate fox news. More people need to hate these things, because hatred will feed anger, anger will feed actions, actions will produce results.
It is not a sin to hate evil. The problem is men say good is evil, and evil, good! Why do you think the story about the money changers is even in the Bible! "Be angry, but sin not!" I hate the fact that 100 more years of this failed war (occupation) was even suggested as reasonable!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
hes right but obama>paul. I love paul but you need a fence to fall back on in america and needs goverment support on some things. You cant just pull the plug on everything.
It's not who you want to win the most that counts its who you can tolerate the most in the other party that wins. I support Obama for the Democratic Nomination and ONLY Paul for the Republican side and I'm a Reagan Republican.
They are both our only hope for a better future in this coin flip 50/50 election!
As if it were ever proposed "we pull the plug on everything". Obama is part of the council on foreign relations just like Hillary, McCain, Giuliani, Thompson, Edwards and the rest of the bank controlled candidates.
Obama's the kind of guy who would lament the bad weather instead of getting out of the rain.
He keeps voting for Iraq war funding, he makes no commitment to pull out, he says the US embassy should be guarded in perpetuity...how is he any different than McCain?!?!
We waves the antiwar flag for votes, not out of solidarity. Don't be fooled! Look into what he said about Iran and Pakistan!

Bullwinkle: Your shirt is purple.

McCain is not the flag, prehemptive war is not America. ChristoGarcia is right. War is far to terrible to sit and invite it!
brothadave 4 years ago 3
I would assume he's an American citizen with 1st ammendment protections to speak about whomever he wishes, however he wishes.
McCain may be a great American war hero... I'll give you that. It doesn't make him right on this issue, however.

One of my students lost his left arm in Iraq. You gonna tell that student that he should've also given his right?
How many young people are gonna give up their lives and body parts before you're satisfied?

I'm also a veteran who has lost many friends and attended many funerals. To just just up and leave would dishonor everyone who has served and especially those who have been injured or killed.

God Bless you brother. We haven't bled and died for nothing, but its not surprising to see that one of those people gave you a thumbs down. I kinda feel bad for this generation. We might end up being like Vietnam Vets blamed for atrocities we've never committed and forced to hire and fire our employees in our businesses who carry this lazy attitude of most of these liberal college kids who expect everything handed to them

So under what situation would he withdraw troops? He wont' do it when it's violent, and he won't do it while it's peaceful.
HE JUST WON'T DO IT! BELIEVE HIM!

Maybe a commercial of soldier after soldier saying, "I'm voting for Ron Paul."
bammbamm12 4 years ago 5
McCain is nothing but another Patton wannabe.
If he had his way he would nuke Vietnam, China, Russia etc. since he only knows how to kill and send others to their death.
Ron Paul is Eisenhower, not only a veteran but one that hates the military industrial complex too! Do your history research its in any 5th grade text book :)

Hate is a strong word.

I hate John McCain and all of the other globalist neo-cons. I also hate fox news. More people need to hate these things, because hatred will feed anger, anger will feed actions, actions will produce results.
devknob 4 years ago 3
Ok.
When confronting injustice it is difficult to withstand the hot glare vengeance.
Remember though that hatred and anger are strong emotions and when acted out can cause massive damage - the very thing we condemn in the first place.
When confronting injustice it is difficult not to be charged with a desire for vengeance.
consciousson 4 years ago
It is not a sin to hate evil. The problem is men say good is evil, and evil, good! Why do you think the story about the money changers is even in the Bible! "Be angry, but sin not!" I hate the fact that 100 more years of this failed war (occupation) was even suggested as reasonable!

This comment has received too many negative votes show
hes right but obama>paul. I love paul but you need a fence to fall back on in america and needs goverment support on some things. You cant just pull the plug on everything.
dell111 4 years ago
It's not who you want to win the most that counts its who you can tolerate the most in the other party that wins. I support Obama for the Democratic Nomination and ONLY Paul for the Republican side and I'm a Reagan Republican.
They are both our only hope for a better future in this coin flip 50/50 election!
SigmaChi04 4 years ago
As if it were ever proposed "we pull the plug on everything". Obama is part of the council on foreign relations just like Hillary, McCain, Giuliani, Thompson, Edwards and the rest of the bank controlled candidates.
devknob 4 years ago 2
Obama's the kind of guy who would lament the bad weather instead of getting out of the rain.
He keeps voting for Iraq war funding, he makes no commitment to pull out, he says the US embassy should be guarded in perpetuity...how is he any different than McCain?!?!
We waves the antiwar flag for votes, not out of solidarity. Don't be fooled! Look into what he said about Iran and Pakistan!
