Wow... after seeing this, it makes me REALLY appreciate the Atari 2600 version of the same game. Look up some videos of it on here. The music and sound effects are much better on the 2600, but it appears this version is harder because of the quicker enemy movement and the fact that your ship is so FREAKING huge! I was going to get this to add to my TI-994A collection, but not if it's too expensive. I figured it would be better than the 2600 version. I do like the backgrounds and boss enemy.
I had forgotten just how hard these damn things were. Or, to be more accurate, how far my skills have faded over the years. I remember once getting to the green googly things (or whatever those last ones are before the launch) the second time around. I hated those jerks. There's no way I would even get to the first launch if I tried again. :) Thanks for the memory!

mines called super demon attack ? two versions ,, if you go to my channel and look at my gaming collection Atari colecovision part 2 I show my t199 games
being based in the u.k - I dont think it was ever released here, one of the benefits of having an aunt in New York meant I still managed to get a copy!
ya know wot. da texas ti994a woz easily da best of its time an my mate used ta hav one an i woz wel jelos of it cos de computer woz better then any of de other computers around at da time . . like da spektrum or de sad commodor 64 or like da bbc computer . . . dere woz a computer in dem days called de bbc home micro. but sho nuf de ti994a woz de one. every1 new it.
The part when you blast off to face the Space Lord or whatever the hell that thing is is one of the most epic moments in early gaming (and gaming period). TI had the best version of Demon Attack.
Hmm, I didn't know that this was on the TI. I love the TI, it was the first 'system' I ever had. I'll have to see about finding this for it as it looks superior to the Atari versions (which are still excellent) although I can't vouch for the terrible sound.
This is probably the first video game I ever loved. Before Super Mario Bros of course. I'm 24 and my uncle used to have this exact game. Me and my brother LOVED it, The music is the best, and so are the demons! I wish they made these games for play on regular NES! But that might take away from their coolness. I just dont wana buy another system! :D
Very different from the other versions of Demon Attack

@keghaywood I am strongly thinking it is Moon Mine!

@jf1gd2 You're probably referring to Moon Mine. I remember that game being really fun and hard to play.

what was that Ti994a game that had a weird round demon face come out and talk to you when you lost? He said "haha youll never catch me!"
jf1gd2 2 years ago
i owned this... it was horrible! lol the top games on the ti994a as i rememeber them: parsec, ti invaders, munchman, and car wars (had them all)

you absolutely need to see it with speech synthesizer - awesome!
"approaching demon base" and "the end is near, human" are REAL classics!

I think you had to have the 32kb memory expansion to play this game. Surely one of the best.
nickmctrick 3 years ago
This is a cartridge game so no memory expansion was necessary.

I have this for my Intellivision. It's fun =D.

I had this game when I was a little kid! The TI994 was the first computer I ever owned. This brings back a lot of memories.

I would like to know if it's possible to see more about this game. What comes next, after the shooting head?
newcoleco 4 years ago
It just starts all over again. The creatures are a different color and move a little faster.

I have every single demon attack game ever made and the systems to play them on. It is the game with the most systems ever.

Strange... you call this strange. This game, my friend, is the genuine article, one of the wise grandfathers of modern-day gaming.
