thanks so much it was so helpful!!! but i would like to know what should i do when i cant Factoring at then end??? i've got some problems that i cant make it and i dont know what do with it! thanks again
@ievier depends on what you're left with under the square root. Try plugging your integrals into wolframalpha(dot)com. It's a great computation engine that might be able to give you the steps you take to complete the integration. :)
Finding the Square under the Square root to cancel it out is my biggest problem. Everything else is easy for me. Your video is great. does every one of these problems have a simple squaring to cancel out the square root? :(
@jaredruscoe No, it doesn't always work out perfectly that you can find a square under the square root, unfortunately. But, say you've got x^2+1 under the square root, you can always convert to (x^2+1)^(1/2) and then use Chain Rule to take the integral. You'd get [(x^2+1)^(3/2)]/[3x]. :)
@TheIntegralCALC Thank you =). Been studying calc since saturday morning, and your advice helped me visualize the problems Much better. Thank you. Goin in to ask the Professor about y=x^2/3 x=1 , 8 keep getting close to answer in back of book but something is slightly off when i take the dx of u and divide. The problems are fun to manipulate but frustrating.
Not bad at all, I tend to appreciate the old format a little more with the white board. I guess I just like seeing the problems being worked out exactly as I would do it. Great work overall though.
@cendrizzi Thanks for the feedback! I'll have to consider different formats so that I'm doing whatever is easiest for people. I'll try to change it up sometimes and see what people say. :)
