  • A B303 lopes way more than this. Sounds like an E303.

  • Sounds like a Stock cam. Im in a Mustang Club and this definitely doesnt sound like it has cam in it.

  • @OneGuitarGuy id rather do it that way and have more room to work on i use jax and theres a lot less room to move around.

  • I always thought these Fox Mustangs looked awesome in white. It just makes them look more aggressive. White or black works for me. I plan on getting a Fox here soon, but undecided whether to go with the 87-93 aero look or get an 80's model 4 eyed Mustang. I think the 4 eyed Mustangs really look tough.

  • sounds like a stock wore out 50 to me. Deff not a B,E,F,or x. Might be a truck cam...

  • lol fail if u really did instal a cam its not a b cam.. and if u did install a cam u failed the first start up u have to keep it rev at 2k rpms for 20ish to 25mins and every 5 mins rev it up a lil more then 2500 rpms u fail

  • I smoked a Challenger In a stock H.O. With a few bolt ons and a pair of Mickey Thompsons and x pipe but if u say thats not fair the Challenger is all new Technology And I handed a challenger his ass but Honestly was a rich yuppy thats all u see driving those!!

  • why would you put an alphabet cam between afr heads? talk about holding you back. there a thousands of cams out there and you went with literally the most generic cam out there. for one they have a shitty sounding idle due to the EXACT same specs for intake and exhaust and also those cams came out when the fox bodies were new. there has been 20 years of improvements from aftermarket companies that actually made cams to perform with good heads.

    I didn't install the Alphabet cam...it was already in with the heads. I know its a crappy cam for the heads. I'm going to go with either COMP's XE266HR or the NX264HR.

  • @mustangtech331 --for one thing this combo doesnt need much more of a cam, but at the same time. . . .the only reason you need a dual patterned cam is for to help the scavenging effect because of the hp robbing emission bump in the exhaust port of stock E7TE heads . . .once you go with aftermarket heads that exhaust bump isnt a limiting factor anymore . . .so an "Alphabet Cam" would be just fine, depending on what your trying to accomplish . . .that being said. . . I dont hear a cam at all . .

  • Sounds like the stock cam to me with a map sensor vacuum issue or timing issue. My E cam in my car thumps rather nicely...not even close to being confused with a stock cam...Nice car though...keep on wrenching!!!

  • what gear ration you have? i got a 373 gear now, its winter and snowy here in michigan, so i am excited to see how much difference it makes. i got a full exhaust system on mine as well and intake cold air intake blah blah but nice car.

  • hell yeah i am so excited!! i was going to build the motor and single turbo kit by treadstone performance. they have some great deals. but i am buying a house so have to stick with the bold ons for now.. i also have a 1966 mustang GT fastback i got for graduation.

  • you think your car with that gear will beat a new challenger srt4? i kno that sounds crazy. the challenger has 400hp i think a little more.. my girl friend dad has one, he let me drive it and acceleration seriously is not that great. i thought it might be a close race with my car with stock gear in it against it. challenger weighs alot more.. i guess ill find out this summer. challenger is fast in a mile race for sure. idk about out off the line light to light race

  • Nice! I suspect that you have an Ecam. Your cam sounds pretty mild, compared to a B or other motorsports cam.

  • is that Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump loud? and is it good?

    How much do they go for? My pump just went out and im not putting stock one in it

  • 255lph right now from Summit is $106.95 + shipping and handling so under $120.00 shipped.

    Its loud but not too bad. If I pay attention and listen for it when the car is running I'll hear it a bit, its not too bad.

  • It has E303 Cam, Ford Racing Roller Rockers 1.60's, Paxton adjustable fuel pressure regulator set at 40lbs idle, Exploer intake upper n lower, and BBK 70MM Throttle body.

    Puts out pretty good power, My fuel pump went out so im going with the walbro 255 since its like the best pump out now.

    Is $130 a good price at a performance shop?

  • Sounds like a nice set up man. You're going o want to turn the fuel pressure down a lil bit with the new pump.

    $130? Well..if you want the pump now and you'd pay $15 more to have it now then go for it. Otherwise just go with summit, you'll have it in a few days.

  • yea, Id rather pay bit more and not wait lol, In plus it gives me a reason to go to performance shop and look for another upgrade hehehe.

    Have you ran your 5.0 at track yet? Thats my next step. im guessing in 14's don't know for sure. be happy for low 14's and then get spray :)

  • rule, first start on new cam keep it above 3k rpm. and what is the lift/duration

  • The cam has already been ran before, I got the shortblock from a friend. We can't find the cam card so I don't know what the specs are, He said its a motorsports cam so I'm assumine B,E or F of the 303 cams.

  • well my e cam has a 498 lift the f has a 512 lift and the b i beleieve is a 479... have you tuned/ dyno your combo yet?? im interested in the results. thanks

  • Yeah 498/512 @ 0.050in is the e303. I have not dynoed it yet. I want to. I need to find a good shop to do it though.

    I'm projecting 290rwhp right now, once the A/F ratio is good, I'll put down 315-330rwhp.

  • They are old school ARE wheels. 16 x 8 I believe. Tire size is 225/55R16
