Very nicely played. I agree about hating these repertoire pieces - they're all overdone now. Playing for competitions I think is a mistake - you start to sound like you're playing for a competition, rather than enjoying the music. Flutists should be made to write their own pieces, and play them how they like.
this is great! im learning this as my audition piece for RCM & Trinity next year i will never be this good! you have beautiful tone! how long did it take you to learn this?
The tune is beautiful, I used to play it :) but I have a hunch that your tone is too shallow / superficial or maybe I have this hunch because of the quality of recording... That's our - our flutists - big problem - records don't hide our faults but show them in brighter light....
Slow practice. LOTS of it. Practice the tongued passages slurred and with varying articulations.
Also, I think the natural tendency is to ignore a lot of the dynamic/phrase/style markings in the awkward technical sections. If you give greater attention to those, a lot of the technique works itself out naturally. ESPECIALLY the leggerio section in 192-207, if you really push the crescendos down into the low register and fade away going back up, it becomes surprisingly easy.
have the starting pitch in ur head so that it doesn't come out lower then where it should be! a tip for all flute players...when double tonging..try starting on KT instead of TK..it will give you better accuracy and help line up tricky passages!
I really enjoyed your interpretation of this piece - one of my favs! Too often, I think, flutists "bump" the descending notes in the opening phrase too hard.

Good technique on the beginning. Might want to consider doing some more woodshedding at measure 192.
