That car actually looks awesome in pink. It's so underrated and unique. I'm giving you two big thumbs up for having the balls to go against the norm and create your own unique restoration! ^___^
The owner - Lance Pelky - keeps this excellent Panther Pink Challenger in top shape. He told me that this beauty can be seen on August 15, 2010 at the Pacific Beach, CA car show.
thats were your wrong i actually drive mines...all of them and does he care maybe maybe not. do you absolutely based on your strong defense. difference between a resto mod and bone stock resto= huge money. any body can go out and buy repo parts. but you cant buy original numbers matching parts. MY challenger is HEMI ORANGE the original paint code/color. and i dont seem to see your cars you claim you have on your page just ones you wish you had...
not original paint color the hood was never painted black it was flat black decal also the snorkles were same color of car not black and the word dodge in front was in chrome leters not paint, not original srearing wheel or deck (obiously) tick tock clock doesnt work the dash pannel never had gloss finish to it and your missing chrome nobs for mileage counter lost of other mistakes but to many to mention...oh and whats the deal with the no cuda plate there the same car just diffrent trim/lights
how does YOUR Challenger look anyways ??? Mr. Nitpicker ?? I bet this guy could give a fuck what you think. Is this a concours judging ?? you guys make me laugh when you walk the carshows and nitpick every last detail. "This is a late production `70 Cuda, it's supposed to have green battery caps, not red, etc..." then you get into your minivan and drive home.. I have a `72 Cuda and a `68 Road Runner.. and you know what ?? we DON'T care what people think, we just love our cars.
@EYEBZTRIPPIN yeah, these cars were never meant to be driven, just museum pieces! What is wrong with people who like to drive their cars, and don't keep them 100% stock!!!!!!?????
@culcun Holy crap!! I just re-watched the video, and the car owner had '500 EFI MAGNUM' on the hood scoop!! That guy should go jump off a bridge for not having a stock engine in it!! So this guy took a perfectly good 318 2-barrel or 225 straight 6 engined car, and made it into a custom hot rod beast??!!
@TheDreamersDisease4 I was being sarcastic towards the guys nitpicking what this guy did to his car...the guys who restore low-option cars crack me up--like those old inline-6 Mustangs.
Oh and by the way, this hood is the R/T model found on many R/T Challengers with either a 383 or 440 Magnum or some even with a 426 HEMI if ordered optionally. The other hood offered was a shaker hood found on the HEMI's. The T/A Hood was a snorkel type. The color Pink was often made fun of by those refering to Mary Kay cosmetics until they raced one and got blown away!
To all who comment on the "Pink", in 1970 Chrysler/Dodge called this "Panther Pink" after the cartoon character. The original "Panther Pink" Challenger's were actually the T/A version w/ 340 Six Pak (or 3 2 bbl. carbs for those unaware). I owned 2 of these cars, 1 Pink and 1 Red, and yes they had black involved as the entire hood was flat black. My other Challenger's, all 1970, were 426 HEMI's. Had until as late as 1994. LOve these cars. Thanks for posting.
I agree. I would take it down and have it painted BLACK! I think hyperliter19 is correct though? It is a rare model. I would have devalued the car with new paint.
a nicer car is the challeger r/t with a 383 magnum in it

@culcun 318 is underpowered for the weight of this car. i agree with other comments suggesting the 440.
