This is not a very good one. 1) If the person was murdered Monday, then why didn't the mailman notice that nothing has been picked up on Tuesday? If the newspaper guy didn't deliver Tuesday and Wednesday newspaper then why not pick up Monday's newspaper?

There's something about this riddle and the one before. The police just assume things. Just because the maid didn't have a valid reason not to know the man was being murdered, she has to be arrested. Just because the mailman knew there was no one at the house to whom to deliver mail, he must have murdered the man himself. Besides, if that was the case, why would he deliver mail the day he was arrested?

I think it was the milkman because if the milk was untouched, and the mail and the newspaper and if the milk or anything else was delivered first which is what it depends on that is who murdered the guy because everything else was untouched so whoever murdered the guy murdered him before everything else got delivered and looked at so..... It doesn't matter if the mailmen didn't bring mail for Tuesday and the rest of the week because as soon as the mailmen saw him dead he would kno not to bring mail there anymore because the wealthy person was living alone for all we kno he could have he could hav killed himself and right before he did he could hav called the police and told him that he was in the house so as soon as they got there that's how he was arested the same day

I'm gonna say the paperboy, there was a paper for Monday, but not Tuesday and Wednesday, and as the man was lying in dried blood, the murder was a few days old, do the paperboy murdered him on Monday, and didn't bother to deliver papers for tuesday, Wednesday, or thursday because the man was already dead and he knew it.
