  • Nice!

  • I was doing that when I was 14, with my little sister on my shoulders.

  • Look man, these look pretty clean pushups: watch?v=-RHSnrmQYng

  • very impressive, but he is doing them like me (better form) but still biceps parallel to the floor so elbow makes 90 degree angle.

  • No, he goes much lower than you, look with more attention! I think he touches the floor with his chest, but from that angle I can't tell.

  • yeh I have been, I don't think he is.

  • When I was 9 I was doing more than 30 pushups in a row, but I wasn't touching with my chest. Touching with the chest is more difficult but a better exercise. Why to spend 2 minutes in doing bad pushups instead of one minute performing good ones? Time is precious.

  • I have no issue with correcting my form, I'm quite happy doing 10 very slow ones correctly than 100 rapid sloppy ones.

  • I was not talking about speed. I said better do 30 correct pushups than 60 malformed ones. You can do them fast as long as you don't balance. When I was 13 I was making 80 pushups and my uncle saw me and told me that I must touch the ground with my chest to call that a pushup. I barely did 50 by his instructions.

  • I know what you meant, I was just trying to point out that my concern with everything even my martial training is always with technique first, everything else is secondary

  • If you want I can show you on webcam how to do it but this means to add me in messenger.

  • I've sent you a message. If you want to post on my page you must add me.

  • Thanks for the tips, I will work on my form more.

  • You need to push your chest out and touch the ground with it. You probably couldn't do more than 30 correct pushups at the time. More than 90% of the pushups on YT are incorrect so you better learn from someone who knows.

  • please demonstrate

  • I couldn't find any video like I wanted but check this out: ".../watch?v=DoIP8ZYBfKM&feature=PlayList&p=FA550CBA5949638A&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=37" She does it almost correctly(you shouldn't put your hand on the leg, this way you could make the one-arm pushup easier).

    Merry Christmas :)

  • Look, the woman in the video of the link I've sent(watch?v=DoIP8ZYBfKM) doesn't do correct one-arm pushups, I was doing in a similar way when I started performing one-arm pushups because I couldn't have lifted myself if I went all the way down. I just wanted to show you what a woman can do.

You told me to demonstrate but I think it's better to explain you how to do it because if I send you a video of someone doing clean pushups you may skip some aspects.

  • Not really, because its always easier said than done. I'm not concerned about 1 arm pushups that stuff is for show, I'd rather just add more weight on my back and do 2 handed ones or tripods.

  • One-arm pushups work your body much better but any exercise is important, you must do a combination, don't focus only on pushups. Amateur bodybuilders only develop few groups of muscles, you should do various exercises(even if you're an amateur).

Well, I was adding more weight on my back by putting my little sister on my shoulders but because my parents separeted and we didn't live together I had to train alone lol.

If you succeed 50 clean classical pushups I teach you the one-arm pushup ;)

  • that wasn't full extension by any means. you used alot of momentum rather than doing them clean

  • it's 51 push-ups! not 50

  • You finished 50 pushups for 1 minute, you're excellent. Ignore these stupid people who comment and say that you didn't do it right. You did and it was perfect, nice job.

  • it's good that you can do 50 in 60 seconds but this don't help you at enything , you got to do them slowly up and down slow, check the scooby on youtube he's the best at home workout

  • not entirely true, I do them slow aswell, but not all the time, I'm more likely to bulk up which is not what I am aim for. Other than that I do isometric holds to help build the endurance like the slow ones would do but without the gaining muscle mass

  • great job man a lil tip ye try keepin a straight form it will ensure u make the most out of it but well done

  • those arent right

u could do about 15 correct pushups

  • how would you do them better?

  • Ah, don't listen to them. Good job reaching 50, they looked pretty good to me. One pointer, instead of looking down you can look forward, this will help you keep your back straight. You did well, good job.

  • thanks man

  • Ill start looking forward =D

  • from a marine to you i will have to say your pressups are completely shit in this vid your nose or chest should always or nearly touch the floor, back straight ,legs together no offense to you though just that your not going all the way down its not my standard.

  • true. Are you seriously a Marine, profile says you are 16 :s

  • this i my brother roberts account i just thought i woud look at a few vids.

  • cool how long have you been serving,

    much respect.

  • dude dont listen to that asshole he is probably a troll.

  • "your pressups are completely shit"

If you're a marine, shouldn't you be acting more proffesional?

  • GOD! I have got to do as much excercises as I can before friday. Friday is Judgement Day for me. Any good strength excercise vids I can watch? Or Self Defence Vids?

  • Hi, firstly you won't see any significant results from doing as much excercise a week from now, infact you will probably become weaker. You will learn sod all from watch self defence videos, if you do not have someone to train with and knows what they are doing. Regarding strength exercises, the quickest way to gain strength is through isometrics, however you shouldn't do this type of exercise for very long, should use other forms of exercise like plyometrics and free weights.

  • I guess ur rite, thanks. But Omg, You're incredible. Thanks for the tip, but Ja I'm being instructed by a Black belt in Kyoshokin. But God, I might not be able to show my face again after next Friday. Lol

  • check out Tommy Carruthers he is my instructor and a huge inspiration to me.

  • Thanks so much, i'll go check out

  • hey larsson - how did you get to start training with tommy carruthers?

    take care : ]

  • hiya, through his website then I visited him at his school.

  • nice .

  • Nice m8 i can do 60 push ups and i am 14

    I aint that strong though

  • i can do probbably 55 and im 13. I say probbably cause ive never needed to pass 50 but ill try in a few days so yeah nice vid u actualy did 51 lol

  • I can do like 40 and im 17. But thats because i weigh 90kg. I can lift over 90kg i bench tho. The stronger you get the harder the pushups get.

  • "The stronger you get the harder the pushups get"

    That statement is completely incorrect.

  • That is not "completely incorrect" at all. So you don't agree that a person who weighs 90kg lifts more weight when taking a push-up, than a person who weighs 30kg?

  • You said that the stronger someone gets the harder pushups get, you didnt say the heavier they get. I could understand that, but that is not what you said.

  • i agree with u .

  • actually you did 51.. lol.. how much can you do in a row now since it's been awhile since you posted this vid?

  • I'm recoverying from a shoulder injury so I have been resting my left as much as possible. Its down to 30 but those are at a about half the speed of these ones. Alot harder to do slower.

  • oh yeah. i couldn't agree more. i finished my last year of jrotc at serra high. we had a push up competition in florida this past april. you had to stick to a certain cadence. this guy on a tape calls it. when he says up. you push up. when he says down.. you push down. i only made it to 76. the most i did in a row was 109. my older brother made a national record of 160 pushups non stop. the cadence was at 50 pushups per minute. the tape recording lasted 6 minutes. 1 minute is a lightning round.

  • you should look it up on the internet.. or download the cadence track.. it's good practice.. and if you wanna score high at push ups.. this cadence tape is a good way to practice.. my instructor made us practice with that tape everyday after school.. it's hard but you learn different ways to execute the push ups as you progress.. like shifting body weight and stuff.. you know? good luck to you bro.. i hope you can reach 200 nonstop!!

  • Thank you I will check it out! What do you guys do sport wise, you can't be dowing pushups for fun right :)

  • well back when i was in rotc. push ups were easy. my superiors had to get creative with their punishments cuz push ups were no longer demanding. my friends and i always competed with push ups. who can do the most and stuff. other than push ups, i was on the armed drill team, so i spent most of my time spinning a rifle. push ups was a good factor toward spinning..

    and no problem bro..

  • Very nice. I just recently worked up to 50 'just about' pushups. I'm about an inch away from shoulder to elbow on each one.

  • not sure i understand what you mean about being an inch away

  • Dude you must be in serious pain everyday. >_>

  • good work..i am the same build as you and currently have maxed out at 49 in a row ;<.i currently do 200 push ups a day that 50 barrier seems quite hard to break lol

  • And 315 lbs is good but nothing to brag about. I know mugs that out up in the 5's

  • cosmo 712 bullshit. You're talkin like you have a razor dildo in you're ass that needs removed immediately

  • No problem. I have to waitr a little I'm sore from benching 315 lbs yesterday. Did it twice.

  • I'll put one up of me doing pushups. I will do 200 hundred straight.

  • seriously!? If you can do proper ones kissing the ground for 200 I will be amazed!

  • me too...

  • Ah! That gives me some motivation to train again. Back to basic :)

  • keep it up nice

  • that was wild, i can only make 30, but ive never tryed to make more, yust make 30 every morning and every night..

  • thanks, I've been stuck on 30 for a long time, but I knew part of Bruce Lee's regime for himself and his oakland students was to do 5 sets of 50 pushups. My aim is to beat it so this is only just the begining for me.

  • great philosophy larsson; i would say bruce would be proud . . . there is no master.

  • I do 100 every other night, you build up more by resting between, so your muscles can heal.

  • Good form even though not all the way to the ground. You probably felt a good pump in ya chest. I like how you got the music playing. Tuff music like dat hypes you up. I sometimes listen to drum n bass when I'm doin push ups. If it fires you up that's the way to go.

  • thanks man, yeh i sometimes have some drum n bass playing in my workout, anything to get you motivated.

  • haha same as..wait for the drop xthen go mental on the push ups

  • ..you inspired me!

  • good job. very proud!!

  • thanks man.
