You can capsize an 8 very easily like a 4 and from the look how much power they were putting in there strokes someone or a few caught some crabs displacing the balance of the boat

i think i was in that race, actually funny thing about that race my crew as soon as we saw that we all thought "yes we now have a chance for second!" but as explained above the race was restarted after they emptied the boat off to the side. we were so pissed then it started and we came second. it was the first time all season that we won against Melbourne Grammar, and on head of river that was just awesome for us. well thanks to who submitted this can't believe its taken me this long to find.

reminds me of a race at dorney, where a j14 crew's rudder was caught on a buoy, and the marshall made them start anyway... They took 1 stroke and turned turtle! Funniest damn thing I saw in my life... They ended up still coming 2nd.

I was in the 10A final, we rocked up early for our race, this race was a disaster, then the race after was a false start. so we went striaght into the starting blocks :)

I was cox in crew that flipped- what happened was one of the gates got jammed while the oar was under the water, it consequently un balanced the boat and flipped it.
