  • Absolutely LOVED this song! I sang with a trio of ladies back in the day, and we would jam this song.

  • I was named after this song and my Uncle played the drums on this song for the recorded version!

  • wow the year I was born. so great songs, love you all four Pointer Sisters. June you are missed. glad to see Bonnie here. nice voice Anita, Ruth as always you are big sister, lovable eldest sister. thank you ladies, thank God He gave you to the world.

  • @JadaGabrielle As was I! :)

  • @JadaGabrielle As was I! :)

  • In this performance (where they sang a few other songs), Bonnie is really charismatic, and even though they were a group, she did little things that caught people's attention to her, and sorta set her apart! Just watch how "limber" she is - along with the energy she brings! I think even the sisters were like "What is Bonnie gone do now?!!" Hahahaha! Love you Ruth, Anita, Bonnie, and RIP June!

  • I love that "Boom! She-bop! She gon' go for the top!" They did that up real good!!!

  • WOWOWOW!!! They were FIERCE!!!

  • When all four of them were together, at the top of their game from '73 - '79, no one could touch them as far as live performing went. They were tops.

  • I wonder why the lyrics to this song, as well as quite of few of thier others are not available..?

  • SUPERB!!!!

  • I finally found this! what harmony! I wish I had this album....

  • @S0nsh1ne100, it's from their self-titled debut, which is still easy to find on CD. It includes many other great performances such as this one.

  • Ahhhhh...Pointer Sisters from before they started caring more about commercial success than making great music...

  • Oh how I PLAYED THE grooves OUTTA THIS RECORD!!! RIP June! Whew, 1974!! Where were you when this was out?? Kenwood high School in Chicago...memories.....

  • @maceo28 North Vancouver, west coast of Canada, 15 years old and into acid rock. But when I wanted to feel good, ( after my friends had gone home) put on Pointer sisters, Esther Phillips, Ann Peebles, etc. and all was right in the world.

  • @slugg63 Wow Slugg!! Esther, Ann Peebles and The Pointer Sisters!! You WERE feeling good....something tells me some of your friends might have stayed around if you'd let them!! LOL! I know what you mean though when you say all was right with the world...I would put some of my favorites on and just drift away.....

  • Allright Now!!!!!!

  • You betta sing it Pointers. Love that Jazz scattin.

  • I love the Pointer Sisters in the jazzy style of music. Such great '40's harmony. Can't find this today, except maybe Manhattan Transfer.

  • Thank you! I've searched for this for a long time!

  • WOW. This is incredible!!! I have never seen all 4 sisters looking this connected & sounding so GENIUS!!! What a treat ...Thank You for this posting!

  • Whooooo that harmony!!! I love them. Had this album

  • Holy Cow, what harmony!

  • studying them as always...it is wierd that i never really noticed how much Ruth and Bonnie look alike.........and Anita and June look most alike.....mostly it is in the eyes.

  • Sometimes I see it the way you do then at times I think Anita and June look most alike and Ruth and Bonnie look alike. There are also clips that I have seen where Ruth and Anita look alike and June has a look of her own. I think because June was so thin, especially in the later years her look was kind of distorted. For instance. Check out the clip when they sang Chain of Fools with Clint Black. RIP June.

  • i did see that clip of Chain of Fools.....i have no words for that.......but i do love these girls!

  • OmG!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you fabulous!!!!!!!
