so, the background is still there, what if i want to modify anything else? would it let me. Sometimes when I use the clip-set feature it doesnt let me do somethings to the path. same when i group several objects.

Yes, i saw that when i tried to press on "mark all" in "edit".

After that did i press on "set".

And then it works!!!

This tutorial is very useful to me, but when i should press on set in object so does it not happen something.

The background is still there.

You have to select both the path and BG. Click on the path, hold 'shift' and then the BG... that should select both. Then you click set. I had the same problem. Trial and error is best. :)
