I think you should have your son circumcised as soon as he is born, rather than 'leave it up to him' if he wanted to be circumcised later in life. Barely anyone would happily make that decision for themselves, but I believe that most people who are circumcised are very pleased that their parents made that decision for them. I know what it is like before and after, and I can certainly say it's much better to be circumcised.

i learned about circumcision at a young age trough my dad, although i didnt know it had an actual name at that time. But he used to say to me that i should clean it every time i took a bath and take care of the skin around it, otherwise i would have to get surgery later and then it would hurt... guess that helped and now im happy the way i am

I had to be circumcised at 22 due to phimosis and ouch was it ever sore but now it;s done I find it cleaner and am glad to be done but It was very sore when I had been done . but it;s a matter of choice to some necessity to others I will say i wish i had been done as a kid as once you pass puberty the genitals become a lot more sensitive . I was very unhappy at having to have the procedure done but now I am happy it's done . Cleaner and nothing to trap in a zipper

Childbirth seems horrific to me.. I am impressed of the valid statements Miss Skittles made to defend her thesis.
It is hard to debate her saying that aesthetically values are linked to cultural values.

In my opinion the more stupid reason is that it is done in an non consenting newborn because it is a painful procedure.
IT IS A PAINFUL procedure performed under general anesthetics (a fully slept) in adult males.
IT IS A PAINFUL procedure performed cold-blood in the newborn because of the risk associated to anesthesia.
This is a reasoning that I simply cannot grasp.

A lawyer is useless to a child who can not object with any rational argument, but to a child into adolescence who is commanded to be circumcised by his parents, legal consultation could prove beneficial. If the child is coerced into the procedure by the time he has the mental capacity to object in a way that is actually relevant to a court, then I imagine there must be a chance that the parents can at least be sued. It's easier to circumcise a newborn than an adolescent without any consent.

Perhaps, but I can safely say that most women I know have never had these issues, mostly due to the fact we were taught basic hygiene.
Not to mention any issue we do face is quickly solved with medicine, and any issue we could face is likely not solved by mutilating unwilling babies.

I have never had any infection, disease, or sickness from my vagina (other than a period once a month). Why is this? Because I take ten seconds in the shower to clean myself every day. It sounds hard, but it isn't.

One of the most arguable reasons for vaginitis onset is not a lack of proper hygiene. As Abuubaidahcorner mentioned to you, vagina is not an esteril environment in a totally healthy women. Nonetheless there is symbiotic control of microorganisms growth.
Disturbance of this control can be easily achieved by medication like anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics, or immunosuppresion.
Cleanliness and vaginitis are so unrelated as AIDS and homosexuality!.

I think you should have your son circumcised as soon as he is born, rather than 'leave it up to him' if he wanted to be circumcised later in life. Barely anyone would happily make that decision for themselves, but I believe that most people who are circumcised are very pleased that their parents made that decision for them. I know what it is like before and after, and I can certainly say it's much better to be circumcised.

I think girls can be hot, but I certainly couldn't be physical with a girl, so I guess I'm not really bi or lesbian.
Being a girl, I have never personally experienced penal criticism in the men's locker room, but it is one of the major reasons for circumcision that I hear, hence why I brought it up.
I had boyfriends in HS that were in sports and the showers were not private, so it would be pretty hard to hide things there.

If there is any truth to the argument that a circumcised penis is more hygienic, then at least as strong a case can be made for circumcising a female's vulva. Women are far more prone to urogential infections than men (whether the male is cut or uncut).
The great majority of European males are genitally intact. There just isn't a problem with keeping Nature's design. There are no medical calls in the UK to bring back infant circumcision, because it has no medical value.

Circumcision became popular in the US in the 1800s with the idea that it prevented mastrubation.
If I ever have the desire to kill myself through online religion/circumcision debating, I'll keep this all in mind, until then I'd rather keep as much of my sanity as possible. Not condoning it (or FGM, I still can't believe you implied that I should support it because I refuse to catapult myself into religious debate) and I won't do it, thats all that matters to me.

i learned about circumcision at a young age trough my dad, although i didnt know it had an actual name at that time. But he used to say to me that i should clean it every time i took a bath and take care of the skin around it, otherwise i would have to get surgery later and then it would hurt... guess that helped and now im happy the way i am

I had to be circumcised at 22 due to phimosis and ouch was it ever sore but now it;s done I find it cleaner and am glad to be done but It was very sore when I had been done . but it;s a matter of choice to some necessity to others I will say i wish i had been done as a kid as once you pass puberty the genitals become a lot more sensitive . I was very unhappy at having to have the procedure done but now I am happy it's done . Cleaner and nothing to trap in a zipper

There are easy and less invasive ways to treat phimosis than amputating the foreskin.
Most people have no difficulty keeping their genitals including (penis, foreskin, clitoris, labia) clean. Sounds like the washing you've had is mostly of the brain.

as i said im getting it done for medical reasons but if i didnt have to i woudnt bother getting circumcission its too much effort but could respect someones choice to get it done because looks better

She's perfectly entitled to make a video about circumcision. Mothers often have an influence in making the decision for their sons. She's speaking not just from the perspective of a potential mother, but also from the heart about an issue that can easily be labelled as an abuse of human rights. Why should anybody, parent or doctor, have the right to amputate a healthy part of a child's body without their consent, for no medical reason?

What about me taking a blade to a baby girl and doing some serious damage to her vagina and claiming that it will reduce the spread of aids and its necessary for the common good. The US should ban the sexual abuse, mutilation, and sexual maiming of baby boys now. Those who perform this operation are criminals and should be jailed.

All it takes is a quick cleaning in the shower to keep your head and foreskin clean. It's an archaic practice that was used in a time when bathing wasn't a daily option and I get that but doing these days, no. Do you realize that it takes away up to 22% of the feeling during sexual intercourse?

I wonder why European or Latino countries (who don't circumcise routinely) doesn't suffer from these diseases more than the US population... Let's see... How about using condoms and be faithful to your partner? or is it that your baby will be sexually active as a child? oh how about circ'ed men engaging unprotected sex with HIV infected people? are they are all good because they have been circ'ed? those things do NOT make any sense to me... :/ QUESTION CIRCUMCISION!

Childbirth seems horrific to me.. After hearing things from friends that have had children it sorta makes the whole process of sex a paranoia session hoping that the 1% chance doesn't happen..you basically end up biting your lip, trying not to orgasm, but end up going off like old faithful instead. hahaha I'd feel so terrible, and guilty, to have a girl close to me going through childbirth.

Its always sort of perplexed me...and I think it always will. (oh to be a girl just for a day to see how the other side lives) Although I must say being a guy is better (for me anyways). You don't have to shave your legs, no periods, and you get to pee standing up. Not all bad.. lol

Indeed, sometimes I think it would be better to be a guy, but being a girl isn't all pain and bleeding, theres ways around it lol.
And I most certainly don't shave my legs... Oregon only gets a couple months of real heat, so theres no reason to shave if no-one will see it.

ouch...I see. I guess I've never thought of a guy being too big. Its always portrayed in the culture that the bigger the penis the better. Many guys, myself included, just hope to be 'big enough' mines average..I think.. its 6 1/2 long and I don't know how big around...if you take your hand and curl it with your thumb touching your middle finger I guess as a visual. hahaha Anyways! Girls are so complex down there!
