My wife made me buy a 3D 8000 Series. And we only used the 3d a cpl times, and I used it on Call of Duty.. But honestly..yea its cool to say you got 3DTV.. But It s a little overrated. $2400.00. dont get 3D unless you entertain ppl alot. Glasses are ridiculous to replace though. DONT GET ME WRONG THE PICTURE IS GREAT. I LOVE THE LED ASPECt.. but coulda did without the 3D..
Yeah I agree huge price range in difference, 3d is wack. Entry level Samsung LED's with ATLEAST 120hz are a great deal for the buck. However when I saw the 8500 I was just blown away, personally I can see a difference in picture however given its price at 4 grand it was no way in hell worth the price. My 6000 series delivers and I couldn't be happier.
Blu-Ray is the best for High Quality Picture right now, Blu-Ray players and Blu-Ray movies the most they can do is 1080p and 2,000,000:1 contrast ratios right now.
You don't need 2010 TV's with 3D that have 8,000,000:1 or 9,000,000:1 contrast ratios unecessary contrast ratio.
@TooleralusAEnima You can see way more detail with the LED's, Im sure your TV is nice but LED's are much better, I sold TV's for 2 years including when LED's launched. You have a opinion and not a fact.
@806TO713 It's not opinion its fact, I have the unb8500 LED TV 46 inch as well. I saw a video maybe about 8 months ago now by the company Sony and a worker for their blu-ray assembly line,he claimed that the highest contrast ratio for blu-ray players and blu-rays was 2,000,000:1. we will probably have higher contrast ratios whenever 2350p replaces 1080p its some number in the 2,000s don't know exactly and maybe when oled's become standard for all tv's as well.
@TooleralusAEnima The Samsung 8500 Series is an Amazing tv, and from what I have seen it is still the best looking LED that I have seen. How could you own a 8500 and say "Fuck that LED shit?" I smell Bullshit... I can clearly distinguish differences in picture quality with different technologies of flat panels. The LEDs arent known for the high contrast ratios, Its the fact that you can have such a huge impact of contrast from a super dark to extremely white picture all in one frame of a movie.
@806TO713 no no no, you got me wrong i'm just against 3D and LED's with useless specs. I happen to own a LED TV and they are amazing but they are putting higher prices on tvs with higher specs and contrast ratios that are uncessary since the highest contrast ratio at the moment is 2,000,000:1 for blu-ray players and blu-ray movies/games. the UNB8500 has 7,000,000:1, i could have just bought the UNB6000 but i wanted 240hz not 120hz
