I actually fell for the mimic MK. II when it told me to follow it. I almost went into the 2nd trap when it told me be careful after the 1st one, it took me a while to figure out it was octopus lol. Great boss battle

I've seen some comments that some players are having a hard time locating her. It's not that hard. Use the solid eye's NV Mode. Then search for sound sources. She gives away her position, you know. I beat this boss easy and on my first try too.

the strategy is, to kill the frogs, stay under a bed and put all to sleep, then kill them with a knife, they wont even know what hit them. Now for Octopus, aiming in the head with a tranquilazer gun is more efective than aiming in the chest with Mosin Nagant.

The 2nd time I fought her though I ventured out to look for her but I had my back to like the woods and stuff and then I ran back to the tank when she attacked me xD

It's pretty easy to find her if you turn the infa-red function on, but the fight's still pretty creepy at times. Always gets me when she leaps through the window out of nowhere, heh. Mk. II trick seemed a bit obvious to me, but some of the ways she hides are pretty crafty.

If you're not looking for a speed-run, hide beneath the table at the back of when you started. Then equip a silenced "stun gun" of your choice and go to town on those FROGs. If they're on the other side of the house, equip the Solid Eye to see their location, then shoot the bucket or a window to draw their attention.

@GigaBahamut I caved and bought a PS3 for MGS4. I bought a Gamecube for the Twin Snakes remake as well, lucky that GCN was only 20 bucks and still works perfectly. MGS with Hideo directing is one of those "must play series" if you are a gamer.

kill the beast with NON-LETHAL to get the dolls, try playing it in normal or lower level of difficulty so it would be easier for you to get the dolls, then go for your BBE..

But i've found that playing BBE using a NAKED RUN is the truest way to know if you're REALLY good at the game. BBE's easy if you got all your goodies set up at the beginning. THIS fight in particualr was crazy hard if trying to get a doll and STILL going for the BB emblem---but it's still very possible

for me its the same, you won't use your ration etc.. and you'll get all the supplies you'll be needing for BBE run, solar gun is just a great bonus.. stun knife mk22 smoke g. and stun g. are your best pal for BBE :)
