I bet his media team got a good kicking after the interview - what were you thinking, putting me in front of a genuine politically savvy journalist? That someone asks such refreshingly pertinent questions is perhaps about having a perspective outside of NZ and also being given an hour with John Key for a free-ranging intervew. I can't see him allowing this type of IV in NZ.
He probably had time on his hands before the wedding too.

Wish we had interviewers in NZ who asked questions like this. The Nats have completely screwed us, borrow $120 million EACH WEEK to pay for tax cuts for high earners, while increasing GST on basic items which heaps pressure on the most vulnerable in society.This is a great country, but we are groaning and creaking under the load imposed by this government.

Did John Key actually justify tax cuts to higher income workers by saying that talent will now stay in NZ?
Do I understand that even though half our lakes and 90% of our low lying rivers are polluted, that if you compare us to the rest of the world, NZ is 100% clean/green? Did I really hear that?
Here's something I really didn't realise though. Outside of New Zealand, interviewers are actually questioning Keys credentials.

What the commercial sector taught Key was have a short term plan that maximises your profit, screws everyone else, and sacrifices long term prospects of your company i.e NZ Inc.
Just like his speculative attack that caused a run on the $NZ when he was with Merrill Lynch, he is now asset stripping NZ Govt: load it up with debt (lower revenue with tax cuts), wail that you're in deficit and use it as an excuse to cut costs (public services & jobs), then sell up (planned asset sales) and bugger off
