I also saw Slayer about that time at the Country Club. It was right when they released the Haunting The Chapel EP.
I'll never forget this. When Ozzy Osborne and Judist Priest were on trial for the fans that committed suicide. Scott went on tv and said "This is so stupid, I just want to go into the court room with a baseball bat and start busting some heads". I am sure it can be found somewhere.

Anyways, Anthrax is an amazing heavy metal band and I have met Scott and he is an awesome dude in person. My gripe with him is this and I know he has some strong feelings against christianity, but I don't dislike him for it. I just think he should keep the scrutiny private instead of public.

If anyone really would take the time to listen to Stryper, Christian or Not, you'd know that these guys are super talented. Everyone of them are terrific vocalist and musicians. They do have guts. They are not trying to cram things down people's throats, just making their own statement, like bands who aren't Christians do as well when they perform. I LOVE all music and Stryper is awesome!!!

stryper will be judged more then anthrax will on judgement day , stryper claims to be for god but glorifies bands that reject jesus by covering there music and telling people they are ok to listen to, which causes many newer chrisians to go back to these bands concerts that reject jesus and cause them to backslide, stryper will be judgement much more then anthrax on that day.

Stryper was a great band for metal music. It was metal with a twist as it had light sided lyrics and that was one thing that set them apart from the other bands at the time. Many didn`t want to give them a chance because of the christian thing, but I am anti religion as they come and to me they were like all the other metal bands with the difference being lighter lyrics. "Calling on you" is a great tune by them and should have been bigger than it was.
Between Anthrax and SOD, Scott Ian has written some of my all time favorite music. With that being said, Scott really has lack of integrity when it comes to aggressive music. Just look at the direction he took Anthrax in the 90's, and his new awful band the 'damned things'. I believe if the price was right, he'd be playing in Stryper screaming "to hell with the devillllll!!!"

Anyways, Anthrax is an amazing heavy metal band and I have met Scott and he is an awesome dude in person. My gripe with him is this and I know he has some strong feelings against christianity, but I don't dislike him for it. I just think he should keep the scrutiny private instead of public.

If anyone really would take the time to listen to Stryper, Christian or Not, you'd know that these guys are super talented. Everyone of them are terrific vocalist and musicians. They do have guts. They are not trying to cram things down people's throats, just making their own statement, like bands who aren't Christians do as well when they perform. I LOVE all music and Stryper is awesome!!!

@deathbox75 Yeah I agree that they tried a new image for ATL and Michael admitted himself that that was a darker time for the band because they started drinking and he believed the band broke up because that was God's way of saying "Hey straighten up." He said they refocused on God and that they believe He blessed them. While they seemed to be going against what they believed during that time, they asked for forgiveness and God did. I just don't see why humans can't do the same.

Stryper was a great band for metal music. It was metal with a twist as it had light sided lyrics and that was one thing that set them apart from the other bands at the time. Many didn`t want to give them a chance because of the christian thing, but I am anti religion as they come and to me they were like all the other metal bands with the difference being lighter lyrics. "Calling on you" is a great tune by them and should have been bigger than it was.

Between Anthrax and SOD, Scott Ian has written some of my all time favorite music. With that being said, Scott really has lack of integrity when it comes to aggressive music.
